<br />ried, the bids were referred to the City Engineer for
<br />checking to report back at this meeting. Following
<br />the report, the City Council awarded the contract to
<br />Steele Finley as the lo, est responsible bidder there-
<br />for at the total price of $10,198.19. Trustee Kelly
<br />introduced a Resolution Awarding the Contract to Steel
<br />Finley. The resolution was ordered filed, read, con-
<br />sidered, designated Resolution No. 1872 and passed by
<br />the following vote:

<br />This being the time and place set forth in Resolution
<br />of Intention No. 1868 to order the work done and im-
<br />provoment made upon and along a portion of Bush, Spur-
<br />goon,French and a'portion of Third Street, and the
<br />City Council being duly convened in open session, pro-
<br />ceeded to hear and pas~ upon all protests presented.

<br /> No owner of property liable to be assessed for said
<br />work made written protest or any protest against the
<br />proposed work or against the extent of the district tc
<br />be assessed therefor and no person appearing to pro-
<br />test or object or show any cause why the improvement
<br />should not be carried out in sccordance with Resolu-
<br />tion of Intention No. 1865, the City Council de®med
<br />that it had acquired jurisdiction to order the propose
<br />improvement. A resolution was introduced ordering the
<br />work to be done and improvement made as briefly set
<br />out in Resolution of Intention No. 186~. The resolu-
<br />tion was ordered filed, read, considered, designated
<br />Resolution Ordering Work No. 1873 and passed by the
<br />following vote:
