A. ],~cKinney to rezone his <br />property at 915 Cypress Avenue to allow the building of <br />a battery shop, was denied. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Goode, seconded by McBride and car- <br />ried, the City Engineer was instructed to post property <br />at the northwest corner of Fifth and French for special <br />uses to allow the erection of a service station by J.T. <br />Van V~y. Hearing date s et November 5th, 1928. <br /> <br />On motion or Trustee Goode, seconded by Kelly and car- <br />ried, the City Manager was instructed to issue a peti- <br />tion to C. E. Downie to be circulated for ornamental <br />lights on Greenleaf from Seventeenth to Santa Clara and <br />on Santa Clara from Oreenleaf to Main, poles to be 13 <br />feet six inches in height. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Chaney, seconded by Kelly and car- <br />ried, the recommendation of the Planning Commission was <br />accepted and the application of the Santa Ana Laundry <br />Company to construct a temporary garage building at lll] <br />E. Fourth Street was granted under special uses. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Goode, seconded by Kelly and car- <br />ried, the application of W. K. Sixsmith to teach classes <br />in physical training and give an emuhibitton was granted. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Goode, seconded by Kelly and car- <br />tied, the application of E. R. Ruddy, Manager of the <br />Business Men~s Association, to decorate ornamental light <br />standards during the Christmas HOlidays was granted unde <br />the supervision of the Electrical Inspector on the follo' <br />lng streets: Fourth from French to Ross, Main from <br />Second to Seventh, Sycamore and Broadway from Fourth <br />to Fifth. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Chaney, seconded by Kelly and car- <br />ried, the Clerk was instructed to draw a warrant in <br />amount of $200.00 from the Advertising Fund in favor of <br />the Santa Aha Breakfast Club for advertising at the <br />Breakfast Club Air Meet. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Kelly, seconded by ~cBrtde ~nd c ar- <br />ried, Mayor F. L. Purinton was granted a ten day leave <br />of absence from the State. <br /> <br /> <br />
