King for Cement Sidewalk and <br />Curbing was referred to the Chair for approval or dis- <br />approval. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Goode, seconded by Chaney ar~ car- <br /> tied, the Clerk was instructed to draw a warrant amount <br /> of $1659.82 in favor of R. O. Stearns £or redecorating <br /> the City Hall. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Goode, seconded by Chaney and car- <br /> riel, the proposal of Joe Kevorkoff to enter into a con- <br /> tract with the City for a term of five years to collect <br /> all rubbish for a sum of money three hundred dollars les <br /> than it costa the ~ity to perform the work, was filed <br /> for future reference. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Goode, seconded by Kelly and car- <br /> ried, the City Engineer was instructed to post property <br /> in the 1400 Block on Cypress Avenue known as Lot 9 Block <br /> F in McFadden~s Home Place No. 1 for special uses in <br /> compliance with application of Schmid & Long for percnit <br /> to erect a duplex. Hearing date set December 5rd, 1928. <br /> ,, <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Chaney, seconded by Goode and car- <br /> ried, the Clerk was instructed to direct the County <br /> Auditor to cancel certain taxes appearing on the tax <br /> records as a lien against property owned by the Veterans <br /> Welfare Board. <br /> <br /> , <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Goode, seconded by Kelly and car- <br /> ried, action was deferred for one week,on the applicatio <br /> of Steele Finley for per~ission to circulate a petition <br /> on Grand Avenue from First to Fourth, to ascertain the <br /> Minutes of the City Council on petitions and protests <br /> previously circulated. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Goode, seconded by Kelly and car- <br /> tied, protest of the Southern Pacific Railroad Company <br /> and Southern Pacific Company against improvement of <br /> Poinsettia and other streets under Resolution of Inten- <br /> tion No. 2055, was denied. <br /> <br /> Roll Call: ~es, Trustees W.J.
