<br />On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Goode and car-
<br />ried, S. I. Preble, Building Inspector, was appointed
<br />special police officer in line with his duties.
<br />
<br />On motion of Trustee Goode, seconded by McBride and car-
<br />
<br />ried, the application of A.E. Fowler to lease city prope:
<br /> for gravel pit
<br />ty near the Flower Street bridge/for ten years for the
<br />
<br />sum of $100.00 per year, was referred to the City Man-
<br />ager for action.
<br />
<br />On motion of Trustee Goode, seconded by McBride and car-
<br />ried, all bids for furnishing the Street Department with
<br />gasoline for the coming year, were rejected and the
<br />Clerk instructed to return all certified checks.
<br />
<br />This being the time and place fixed for the opening of
<br />
<br />bide or proposals for the work ordered done and improve-
<br />
<br />merit made upon and along a district known as the South-
<br />
<br />west Lighting District or Assessment District No. 154
<br />
<br />and briefly described in Resolution of Intention No.1880
<br />
<br />and ordered done by Resolution No. 1894, and the City
<br />
<br />Council being duly convened in open session proceeded to
<br />
<br />and did publicly open examine and declare all bids recet
<br />
<br />ved as follows:
<br />
<br />Item No. 1. The furnishing and installing u2on and
<br />all portions of streets, except St. Andrews ~lace from
<br />Main Street to Woodland Avenue~ upon which work is spect
<br />fied to be done under "The Specifications for Assessment
<br />District No. 154" and as indicated on "The Plans for
<br />Assessment District ~o. 154" of all necessary conduits,
<br />cables, grot~nd connections and the making of all neces-
<br />sary connections to the service points and the replace-
<br />ment of all pavement, curbs, sidewalk or other improve-
<br />ment, cut or d-maged during construction, complete with
<br />the furnishing cf all necessary equipment, labor and ma-
<br /> terial, for the mum of $ complete.
<br />Item No. 2. The furz~ish~-~install~ng upon and
<br />St. Andrews Place from Main Street to Woodland Avenue,
<br />of all necessary conduits, cables, ground connections
<br />the replacement of all pavement, curb, sidewalk or other
<br />improvement, cut or damaged during construction, complet~
<br />with the furnishing of all necessary equipment, labor
<br />and material,~for and in consideration of the existing
<br />conduit and cable on said portion of St. Andrews Place
<br />and the sum of $ complete.
<br />Item No. 3. The"i~i'-~ing, construct!~ and installing
<br />of all necessary'concrete foundations, anchor bolts, pot.
<br />heads, om-mental single lighting Standards, wiring,
<br />lamps, globes, canopies, and all other necessary items
<br />above g~uund on all portions of streets upon which work
<br />is specified to be done, except St. Andrews Place from
<br />Main Street to Woodland Avenue, complete with the fur-
<br />nishing of all necessary equipment, labor and material,
<br />for the sum of $ per Standard complete.
<br />Item No. 4. The furnishing, constructing and installing
<br />of all necessary concrete foundations, anchor bolts, pot-
<br />heads, Ornamental Single Lighting Standards, wiring,
<br />lamps, globes, canopies, and all other necessary items
<br />above groun~ on St. Andrews Place from Main Street to
<br />Woodland Avenues complete with the furnishing of all
<br />necessary equipment, labor and material, for and in con-
<br />sideration of allexisting ~ighting standards and glass-
<br />sate on said portion of St. Andrews Place and the sum of
<br />~per_Standard complete.
<br />I~. 5. The re-connecting of existing circuit acros
<br />St. Andrews Place at Main Street, together with the
<br />nishing of all necessary equipment, labor and material,
<br />for the sum of $ complete.
