Following the report, <br />the City Council awarded the contract t~o Rob~r~s~EleC- <br />~i~c Corporation as the lowest responsible bidder <br />therefor at the total price of $1V,V72.00. T~ustee <br />Goode introduced a Resolution Awarding the Contract to <br />the Robertson Electric Corporation. The resolution was <br />ordered filed, r cad, considered, designated Resolution <br />No. 1899and passed by the following vote: <br /> <br /> Ayes, Trustees J.L. McBride, W.J. Kelly, W.G. Knox, <br /> Stanley E. Goode, F.L. Purinton. <br /> <br /> Noes, Trustees None. <br /> <br /> Absent, Tru~stees None. <br /> <br />This being the time and place set forth in Resolution <br />of Intention No. 1890 to order the work done and <br />ment made upon and along Seventh Street from tim West <br />line of Bristol Street to the East line of Artesia Stre~ <br />and the City Council being duly convened in open session <br />proceeded to hear and pass upon all protests presented. <br /> <br /> No owner of property liable to be assessed for said <br /> work made written protest or any protest against the <br /> proposed work or against the extent of the district to <br /> be assessed therefor and no person appearing to protest <br /> or object or show any cause why the improvement should <br /> not be carried out in accordance with Resolution of In- <br /> tention No. 1890, the City Council deemed that it had <br /> acquired Jurisdiction to order the proposed improvement. <br /> A resolution was introduced ordering the work to be done <br /> and improvement made as briefly set out in Resolution of <br /> Intention No. 1890. Merrick and B.E. <br />Morthlam~, signed by more than 2~% of the qualified <br />electors, for the annexation of territory known as the <br />West Orange District. A resolution was introduced resol~ <br />ing that petition was filed in pursuance to the Act of <br />the Legislature and that the ~erritory so proposed to be <br />annexed to the City of Santa Aha is inhabited territory <br />and is contiguous to the City of Santa Ans.
