McClain for permission to <br />hang a barber pole at his place of business, 405 W. 4th <br />Street, was granted under the supervision of the Elec- <br />trical Inspector. <br /> <br />On motion of T~ustee Knox, seconded by McBride and car- <br />ried, the Notice of Hearing from the State Railroad Com- <br />mission relative to the application of the Pacific Elec- <br />tric Railway Company to operate motor coach lines in the <br />City of Santa Ana, was referred to the City Attorney. <br /> <br />An application signed by Alan H. Hadell, was presented <br />requesting permission to erect a service station on the <br />northeast corner of Main and Edgewood Streets. On mo- <br />tion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Knox and carried, <br />the application of Alan H. Hadell was referred to the <br />Planning Commission and the City Engineer instructed t o <br />post property for hearing date April 9th before the <br />Planning Uommission and the City Council. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Knox and car, <br /> tied, action was deferred on the application of the Cope <br /> Electric Company to hang sign for Sears Ro6buck & Com <br /> at Fourth and Bush Streets until such time as when the <br /> sign arrives. <br /> <br /> A petition was presented signed by property owners, re- <br /> questing that First Street between Patton and Van Ness <br /> be rezoned from Residence zone to Courts and Apartment <br /> House zone. On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by <br /> Knox and carried, the petition was referred to the 'Plan- <br /> ning Commission and the City Engineer was instructed to <br /> post property for hearing date April 9th before the <br /> Planning Commission and the City Council. <br /> <br /> Sn motion of Trustee Knox, seconded by McBride and car- <br /> ried, the bonds of E.M. Bradley and. J.D. Sanborn to con- <br /> duct businesses as Plumbing Contractors, were referred <br /> to the Chair for approval or disapproval. <br /> <br /> On motion of TruStee Knox, seconded by McBride and car- <br /> ried, action was deferred for one week on the petition <br /> of business men doing business on W. Fourth Street, re- <br /> <br /> questing that no action be taken against the parking of <br /> the City Taxi Cabs on W. Fourth Street. <br /> <br /> <br />
