First St. <br /> <br />229 <br /> <br />On motion of Trus tee McBride, seconded by Knox and car- <br />ried, the reports of the various City Officers for the <br />month of March were referred to the Finance Committee. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Knox and car- <br />ried, the Clerk was instructed to draw warrants cover- <br />ing demands as audited by the Finance Committee. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Knox and car- <br />ried, action was deferred for two weeks on the petition <br />asking for the annexation of the Costa Mesa Addition. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Knox, seconded by McBride and car- <br />ried, it was resolved that Resolution No. 773 of the <br />City of Santa Aha, passed and adopted on the 10th day o~ <br />April, 1922, and all proceedings had thereunder, relativ <br />to the abandonment of a portion of Spurgeon Street, be <br />vacated and abandoned. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Knox, seconded by McBride and~car- <br />tied, the City Engineer was directed to prepare and fur- <br /> <br />nish specifications for proposed acquisition and <br /> <br />of East First Street, as follows:- <br /> <br /> Clyde L. Jenken, City Engineer, is hereby designated <br />and directed to prepare and furnish specifications for <br />the proposed acquisition and widening of East First <br />Street, between Main Street and the Southen Pacific <br />Railo~d Track to Newport Beach, as hereinafter descrtbe~ <br />said specifications to include descriptions of all pro- <br />perty to be acquired, together with a map or plat show- <br />ing the same, also a description of the proposed district <br />to be benefited by said acquisition and wideing and a <br />map or plat shnwing thereof showing the same and contai~ <br />ing the lands to be benefited in like measure, but in a <br />different measure, from those in other zones therein, <br />with a statement as to what percentage of the sum to be <br />raised each year for the payment on the principal and <br />interest of the bonds should be raised from each zone; <br />the said district to be known as "Acquisition and Improv <br />ment District No. 3 of the City of Santa Ana"; <br /> A strip of land five (5) feet wide on each side of <br /> East First Street between Main Street and the Southern <br /> Pacific Railroad Track to Newport Beach, and being par- <br /> ticularly described as follows:- <br /> Beginning at the intersection of the Southerly line of <br />First Street with the Easterly line of Main Street as it <br />exists South of'said First Street, thence Southerly al <br />said Easterly line Of Ma~n Street a distmnce of five <br />feet to a point, thence Easterly along a llne drawn par- <br />allel to and distant 5 feet Southerly from the Southerly <br />line of First Street to a point distance 216.69 feet <br />Easterly from the Easterly line of Minnie Street, thence <br />Northwesterly in a direct line to a point in the Souther- <br />ly line of First Street distant 215.35 feet Easterly <br />the Easterly line of Minnie Street, thence ~esterly <br />the Southerly line of First Street to the point ~ud <br />of beginning; <br /> Also, beginning at the intersection of the Northerly <br />line of First Street with the Easterly line of Main <br />Street as it exists North of First Street, thence North- <br />erly along aaid Easterly line of Main Street a distance <br />of 5 feet to a point, thence Easterly along a line <br />drawn parallel to and distant 5 feet Northerly from the <br />Northerly line of First Street, to a point distant 182.1 <br />feet Easterly from the Northerly extension of the Easter- <br />ly line of Minnie Street, thence Southeasterly in a <br />direct line to a point in the Northerly line of First <br />Street distant 185.35 feet EasterlM from the Northerly <br />extension of the Easterly llne of Minnie Street, thence <br />Westerly along said Northerly line of First Street to <br />the point and place of beginning. <br /> <br /> <br />
