D. Guy for private contract for Cement <br /> Sidewalk and ~urbing was referred to the Chair for appro. <br /> val or disapproval. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Kelly and car- <br /> warrant <br /> tied, the Clerk was instructed to draw/in amount of <br /> <br /> $156.85 in favor of Jules WI Markel & Son in payment of <br /> <br /> extra work for repairs to Screening Equipment at the <br /> Joint Outfall Sewer. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Goode, seconded by Kelly and car- <br />ried, the Clerk was authorized to draw warrant in amount <br />of $70.00 in favor of the Neon Light & Sigm Company from <br />the Advertising Fund, which is first payment on the <br />"Santa Ana" sign. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Goode, seconded by Knox and carried <br />the application of the Epworth League to hang two banner <br />across the streets, one at 4th and Spurgeon and one at <br />fith and Main, advertising~their convention April 21 to <br />25rd inclusive, was referred to the City Manager with <br />power to act. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Kelly, seconded by McBride and car- <br />ried, the request of J.C. Hines, Superintendent of the <br />Llewellyn Iron Works, to deputize their watchman as a <br />special officer during the construction of the elevated <br />water tank, was granted. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Goode, seconded by Knox and carried, <br />the application of C. H. Potts for water service at 2702 <br />N. Main Street, was granted and the Clerk authorized to <br />sign the Council's approval to same. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Kelly and car- <br />ried, the Building Inspector was instructed to notify <br />O.P. Litten to move his building erected in Birch Park <br />to conduct a confectionery business. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Knox, seconded by Goode and carried <br />it was decided to appropriate $600.00 to make improvemen <br /> <br />Forest Home. at Forest Home and the Mayor and Clerk were authorized <br /> <br /> <br />
