Hammond setting forth <br />six reasons why West Orange Road should be opened to <br />Flower Street, was accepted and placed On file. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Goode, seconded by Kelly and car- <br /> <br />ried, it was decided not to send ~the Santa Aha Symphonl <br />Orchestra to play at the Easter Sunrise Service in the <br /> <br />Hollywood Bowl on account of the condition of the Music <br /> <br />Fund and the cost of providing music fc~' the Service. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Goode, seconded by McBride and car- <br />ried, the application of Algernon Howell to conduct a <br />soft drink stand in the Baseball Bowl during the night <br />baseball season, was denied. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Goode, seconded by Kelly and car- <br />ried, the application of Tom Greet for permission to <br />locate a portable popcorn wagon at 1711 W. Fifth Street, <br />was referred to a committee to report back in one week. <br />Trustees Kelly and Sutton appointed as such committee. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Kelly, secc~ded by Goode and car- <br />ried, the communication of the Planning Commission endor. <br />sing the purchase of the Frances Willard Junior High <br />School site for City Hall site, was accepted and committe <br />consisting of President Geo. Wells and Secretary Clara R. <br />Cushman appointed to meet with School Board to discuss <br />the purchase of school site. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Sutton, seconded by Kelly and car- <br />ried, the warrant in amount of $3844.68 of the Southern <br />Counties Gas Company covering franchise tax for year <br />ending December 31st, 1929, was accepted and the Clerk <br />instructed to deposit same. <br /> <br /> . <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Kelly, seconded by McBride and car- <br /> ried, the bond of Paul McMillen-in amount of $500.00 for <br /> cement sidewalk and curbing, was referred to the Chair <br /> for approval of disapproval. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Goode, seconded by McBride and car- <br /> ried, the property of The Second Baptist Church at 1808 <br /> W. Eighth Street was ordered posted for special uses to <br /> allow the moving of a church building from the northeast <br /> corner of Fifth and Patton Street to 1808 W. Eighth St. <br /> Hearing date was set April 14th, 1930. <br /> <br /> <br />
