<br />A full, fair and impartial hearing was accorded all per-
<br />sons having any objections to those things proposed to be
<br />done as set forth in Resolution of Intention No. 2260 in
<br />the Matter of Acquisition and Improvement District No. 9,
<br />also known as the East Fourth Street Subway in the City
<br />of Santa Ana. A resolution was introduced Ordering Ac-
<br />quisition and Improvement of District No. 9. The resolu-
<br />tion was ordered filed, read, considered, designated Reso~
<br />lution Ordering Acquisition and Improvement No. 2284 and
<br />passed by the following vote:

<br />DISTRICT NO. 9 OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA

<br />RESOLUTION 0RDFHING ACQUISITION
<br />AND IMPROVEMENT. NO. 228~.
<br />
<br /> Whereas, at the time, place and in the manner set forth
<br />in Resolution of Intention No. 2260, adopted by the City
<br />Council of the City of Santa Ana on the 24th day of
<br />November, 1930, In the Matter of Acquisition and Impr~ e-
<br />ment District No. 9 of the City ofSanta Ana, a full,
<br />fair and impartial hearing was accorded to all persons
<br />having any objections.to those things proposed to be done
<br />as set forth in said Resolution; and
<br /> Whereas, said hearing was regularly continued to the
<br />19th day of January, 1931, at the hour of 7:30 o'clock
<br />P.M. at the Council Chamber of the City Council situated
<br />in the City Hall in the City of Santa Ana; and
<br /> Whereas, this City Council has adopted its Resolution
<br />passing upon all protests presented, both written and oral
<br />and has made its determination as to the extent of the
<br />Assessment District and the grades to which the contem-
<br />plated work and improvements are to be constructed; and
<br /> Whereas, evidence has been received as to the publica-
<br />tion of said Resolution of Intention No. 2260, and the
<br />posti~ of Notice of Public Improvement therein ordered
<br />posted at the time and in the manner prescribed by law,
<br />and as to the necessity for the improvements contemplated
<br />and the benefits to be derived therefr~n;
<br /> Now, Therefore, Be It Resolved, by the City Council of
<br />the City of Santa Ana that it is hereby found, determined
<br />and ordered as follows:
<br /> 1. That the said Resolution of Intention No. 2260,
<br />heretofore adopted on the 24th day ~ November, 1930, has
<br />been duly and legally published as required by law, and
<br />that the Notice of Public Improvement therein directed to
<br />be posted h~s been duly and legally posted in the time,
<br />form, manner and number as required by law, and that all
<br />protests or objections presented ~have been disposed of in
<br />time, form and manner as required by law, and that this
<br />Legislative Body has now acquired Jurisdiction to order
<br />the things proposed to be d one as set forth in said Reso-
<br />lution of Intention No. 2260.
<br /> 2. That the public interest and necessity require and
<br />it is hereby ordered that the work and improvements on
<br />East Fourth Street, between Poinsettia Street and Santa
<br />Fe Street as said two last named streets exist northerly
<br />from Fourth Street and on Santa Fe Street between First
<br />Street and Fourth Street, all as particularly set forth
<br />and described in said Resolution of Intention No. 2260,
<br />and in the specifications, plans, profiles and detailed
<br />drawings therein referred to be made and done.
