All.man appeared before the Council requesting <br /> <br /> a donation to be used for advertising in the June number <br /> of the California Real Estate Magazine. The motion of <br /> Trustee Warner to allow the sum of $58.00 for a half page <br /> advertisement in the Magazine, not receiving a second~ <br /> Mayor Knox requested Trustee HasenJaeger to take the <br /> Mayor Knox then seconded the motion and it was carried. <br /> Mayor Knox then resumed the Chair. <br /> <br />On'motion of Trustee Warner, seconded by McBride and car- <br />ried, the request of the Masonic Lodge for a donation to <br />be used for advertising in the Masonic Bulletin was hear~ <br />and the amount of $85.00 allowed for a half page advertis <br />ment. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Witmer, seconded by HasenJaeger and <br />carried, the proposal of the Santa Aha Association of <br />Insurance Agents relative to placing the fire and Casual- <br />ty insurance and surety bonds for the City of Santa Ana <br />with and through the Association, was taken under advise- <br />ment for two weeks. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Witmer and car- <br />ried, the property at the southeast corner of Main and <br />Bishop Streets was ordered posted for special uses and <br />the hear~g date set May llth, 1931, in accordance with <br />the application of the ~neral Petroleum Corporation to <br />erect a service station. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by HasenJaeger and <br />oarried~ R. R. Miller was appointed a special police <br />officer at a salary of $140.00 per month and Mrs. <br />McMillan was appointed special police woman at a salary <br />of $60.00 per month. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Warner and car- <br />ried, the City Attorney was authorized to send a telegram <br />to Senator Edwards and Assemblyman 0raig opposing Aasem- <br />bly Bill 1882 as being detrimental to the futume welfare <br />of Orange County. <br /> <br /> <br />
