No. 230~ <br /> <br />Orange County Water <br /> <br />Saving & Replenishment Dist. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Warner s~d car- <br /> ried, the Chair was authorized to appoint a committee to <br /> investigate allocation of Hoover Dam energy. Trustees <br /> McBride, Witmer, HasenJaeger and the City Attorney were <br /> appointed as the committee. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Warner, seconded by McBride and <br /> tied, the matter.relative to Constitutional Amendment No. <br /> 8, effecting all cities owning and operating public <br /> utilities, was referred back.to the City Attorney for <br /> two weeks. <br /> <br /> On 4otion of Trustee HasenJaeger, seconded by McBride <br /> carried, the Building, Electrical and Plumbing De~ <br /> were placed under Trustee Witmerts supervision with in- <br /> structions to give recomendations for appointments at <br /> the next meeting. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by HasenJaeger <br /> carried, the application of Raymond Ray, Attorney, in <br /> behalf of the Lacy Furniture Company for permit to hold <br /> an auction sale of furniture at 896-08 N. Broadway, was <br /> referred to the City Attorney for investigation and re- <br /> port beck in one week. <br /> <br />A Resolution entitled: <br /> <br /> "That, Whereas, there is now pending before the Legis- <br />lature of the State of California Assembly Bill No.18§I <br />entitled "An Act to create a District to be called <br />tOrange County Water Saving and Replenishment District, t <br />etc., and <br /> Whereas, it has been brought to the attention of the <br />Board of Trustees of the City of $anta Arm, Orange Coun- <br />ty, State of California, that the enactment of said <br />Assembly Bill No. 1861 into law would greatly retard the <br />growth and development of the City ~ ~anta Arm, and <br /> Whereas it is the unanimous opinion of said Board of <br />Trustees of the said City of Santa Arm that it would be <br />unwise for the said City of Santa Ana to becomes member <br />of the district sought to be created by said Assembly <br /> <br /> Now Therefore Be It Resolved, that the Board of Trus- <br />tees of the City of Santa go on record as being opposed <br />to the passage of said Assembly Bill No. 1861. <br /> Resolved that copies of this Resolution be forwarded <br />to the Senator and Assemblyman representing this Dis- <br />trict in the State Legislature of the State of California" <br /> <br />The resolution was ordered filed, read, considered, desig <br />nated Resolution No. 230~ and passed by the following vote: <br /> <br /> Ayes, Trustees J.L.
