McBride, E.G. Warner, <br />Paul B. Witmer, A.C. HasenJaeger, John Knox.. <br /> <br />Absent: Trustees None. <br /> <br />Minutes of meetings of May 1Sth and 26th <br /> were approved as read. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />~hort Course <br /> <br />University of Sou. Belssel <br />General Petroleum <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by HasenJaeger and <br />carried, the Clerk was authorized to purchase three <br />$15.00 books for employees and officials to attend the <br />sum~ner course at the University of Southern California <br />to be held June Sth to 13th, inclusive, 1931. <br /> <br />, <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by HasenJaeger and <br />carried, the communication from ~he Metropolitan Water <br />District relative to meeting of the Board of Directors <br />with the Executive Officers and Governing Officials of <br />the fourteen cities in the District for the purpose of <br />discussing the bond election of the District, to be held <br />June 4th at 8:30 P.M., was accepted and filed. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Warner and car- <br />ried, the application of Mrs. 0. P. 01sen for permission <br />to conduct a lunch stand on the boulevard mt the Gilmore <br />Service Station on Chapman and Santa Aha Boulevard, was <br />denied, for the reason that the Council cannot grant appli <br /> <br />cations for stands on public highways, Clerk to advise <br />Mrs. Olsen of Council's action. <br />. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Witmer and car- <br />ried, the request of Judge J.G. Mitchell for permission <br />to leave the State for thirty days, was granted~ to take <br />effect June 8th, 1931. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by HasenJaeger and <br />carried, the monthly reports of the City Officers for <br />the month of May, ware referred to the Finance Committee. <br />. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Warner and car- <br />ried, the Clerk was authorized to draw warrants according <br />to monthly demands audited by the Finance Committee. <br /> <br />O~ motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by HasenJaeger and <br />carried, the Mayor and Clerk were authorized to execute <br />a~reements with P. G. Beissel and Lillian L. Beissel, his <br /> <br />-I <br /> <br /> <br />
