HasenJaeger, ~ohn Knox. <br /> <br />Noes, Trustees None. <br />Absent, Trustees None. <br /> <br />A.Resolution was introduced as follows: <br /> <br /> Whereas, on account of unsettled business conditions <br />and the alax~i~g situation existing because of unemploy- <br />ment, resulting in want and destitution among the resi- <br />&~ts of the City of Santa Ana~ and <br /> Whereas, the want and destitution amemg the residents <br /> of this City at this time, instead of decreasing, seems <br /> to be on the increase; and <br /> Whereas, it is the sense of ~he Board of the Trustees <br />of the City c~ Santa Aha that on account of the condi- <br />tions herein enumerated, a great public calamity exists: <br /> Now, Therefore, Be It Resolved, that the Board of <br />Trustees of the City of Santa Aha declare and determin~ <br />that public interest and necessity demands the immediate <br />expenditure of publie money to safeguard life, health <br />and property. <br /> That this resolution is made for the purpose o~imme- <br />diately proceeding to expend or enter into a contract <br />involving the expenditure of certain sums of money <br />required in such emergency. <br /> <br />The resolution was ordered filed, read, considered, <br /> <br />designated Resolution No. 2328 and passed by the follow- <br /> <br />ing vote: <br /> <br />Ayes, Trustees J.L. The resolution was <br /> ordered filed, read, consisted, designated Resolution <br /> No. 2329 and passed by the following vote: <br /> <br /> Ayes, Trustees J.L. Mcbride, E.G. HasenJaeger, John Knox. <br /> <br /> Noes, Trustees None. <br /> <br /> Absent,'Tr~stees None. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Mcbride, seconded by Warner and <br /> <br />tied, the City Engineer was instructed to proceed with <br /> at ~he Bowl <br />day labor/to construct §~00 wooden seats as shown on <br /> <br />plans according to Sketch A, one unit of showers for <br /> <br />Night Baseball Team, s~rface drainage, lights for Night <br /> and <br />Baseball,/necessary fence around entire grounds of the <br /> <br />Bowls ~he City Engineer is further directed in making <br />fills for said improvement to borrow the excavation to <br />widen or l~ngthen the present field in order to provide <br />for a future football field, total cost of work and con- <br />struction not to exceed the sum of $15,000.00. <br /> <br />Roll Call: Ayes, Trustees J.L.
