Witmer. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee McBride, secended by HasenJaeger and <br /> carried, the communication of the Bricklayers t,Masonst, <br /> and Plasterers' International Union No. 22 relative to <br /> the present wage scale of their craft in amount of $8.00 <br /> per day and the wage scale adopted for the Bowers <br /> <br /> Museum ~n amount of $9.80 per day and stating their will- <br /> ingness to assign the difference c~ $1.80 to the <br /> ment Committee, was referred to the City Attorney. <br /> <br /> On m~tion of Trustee HasenJaeger, seconded by McBride and <br /> carried, the communication of the Department of Water and <br /> <br /> Power of the City of Los Angeles urging the City <br /> to congressmen from California <br />~ protest/against the proposed tax on the gross sales of <br /> <br /> electric energy, was accepted and filed. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by HasenJaeger and <br /> carried, the plan as submitted by Frank Lansdown for the <br /> cutting of a 81 foot driveway for the Geo Dunton Garage <br /> at 808 N. Main Street and the elimination of light stan- <br /> dard, was approved subject to an arrangement with the <br /> Southern Calif. Telephone Company for the relocation of <br /> pole and the use Of suitable paving material for driveway <br /> and street without expemse to the City of Santa Ana. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee HasenJaeger, seconded by McBride and <br /> carried, applications to conduct commercial poultry yards <br /> in the City of Santa Aha, were granted as follows: <br /> <br />Isaac Thomas <br />C. J. F~nk <br />David Brown <br /> <br />1733 W. Washington Ave. <br />1106 S. Flower St. <br />1125 S. Main St. <br /> <br />Petitions signed by '261 citizens and patrons of taxicab <br />service were read requesting that a license be granted to <br />~.C. Crosby to operate the Star Taxicab Company at 302 <br />Spurgeon Street. <br /> <br />On the grounds that the necessity does not exist for an <br />additional taxicab service in the City and the operation <br />and transfer of ownership of taxicabs without permission <br />of the City Council, it was decided on motion of Trustee <br />McBride, seconded b~ HasenJaeger and carried, that the <br /> <br /> <br />
