Memorial Museum, was amended on motion of Trustee McBride secc~ded by Warner and carried, that a letter be scant to William Rohrbacher thanking him for his letter stating that he will employ all local labor on the Bowers MIls oLTm. On motionof Trustee HasenJaeger, seconded by McBride and carried, the City Attorney was i~structed ~o prepare an - ~Ordinance in line with the Ordinance governing the City of Los Angeles as recomended by the Planning Commission covering the planting of trees in the City of Santa Ans. On motion of Trustee MeRride, seconded by HasenJaeger and carried, the City Attorney was instructed to draft an amendment to the existing Taxi Ordinance so as to further regulate taxi owners and drivers. . The motion of Trustee Warner~ that the matter pertaining to taxis be taken under advisement for one we~k, not receiving a second, Mayor Knox do~lared a recess of three minutes and upon resuming the meeting Trustee Warner withdrew his motion. On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Warner and car- as presented by the City Engine~ tied, Sketch "B" on the Olive Bowl/was approved as to location of seats and first unit of showers. An Ordinance ~ entitled: "An Ordinance providing for the registration of bicycles by the owners thsreof, and for the prevention of theft of the same, and for the detection and identifi- cation of lost or stolen bicycles and for the operation thereof upon any street or public highway of the City of Santa Ana, repealing all other Ordinances and parts of Ordinances in cc~flict herewith, and providing penalties for the violation ~%~oof." was finally read, considered, designated Ordinance No. 9~0 and passed by the following vote: Ayes, Trustees J.L. McBride, E.G. Warner, Paul B. Witmer, A.C. HasenJaeger, ~oh~ Knox. Noes, Trustees None. Absent, Trustees None. On motion of Trustee Witmer, seconded by McBride and car- ried, the Oiby Council adjourned to Monday, February 8th 198~, at ?:~0 P.M., in the Council Chamber.
