457 Santa Aha City Hall. February 23rd, 1932. 7:30 P.M. City Council met in regular adjourned session. Meeting called to Order by Mayor Knox. Present: Trustees J.L. McBride, E.G. Warner, Paul B. Witmer, A.C. HasenJaeger, John Knox. Absent: Trustees None. In Re Application Joh~ W. Tubbs. In Re Com~nunication City Clerk of Fulterton. In Re Application of Mrs. Hawley J. Selway. In Re Application for Dance Hall. In Re Warrant of Sou. Counties Gas CO. In Re Application for Independent Taxi. On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Warner and car- ried, the application of John W. Tubbs for permission to cut the curb on No. Main Street approximately forty-one feet and bn Washington Avenue approximately sixty-five feet for driveway into a new Drive-In-Market Building was granted according to plan submitted. . On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Witmer and car- ried, the communication of the City Clerk of Fullerton requesting the Council, together with the Councils of neighboring con~nunittes, to pledge their cooperation with the Board of Supervisors of Orange County in working out a plan that would be county wide on the unemployment situation, was Peferred to a and MCBride'. , On motion of Trustee McBride, tied, the application of Mrs. committee of Trustees Warner seconded by Warner and car- Hawley J. Selway for the position of matron of the Bowers Memorial Museum, was referred to the Bowers Memorial Museum Committee. On mo~ion of Trustee HasenJaeger, seconded by Witmer and carried, the application of D. H. Johnson and P~y Minnix to' conduct a public dancing academy in the building loca- ted at the northeast corner of Ross and Third Streets, was granted. On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by HasenJaeger and carried, the warrant in amount of $3479.?2 from the Sou- ~thern Counties Gas Company covering franchise tax for the year ended December 31, 1931, was accepted and the Clerk instructed t o deposit same. Petitions were read with 1146 signatures attached request! lng favorable consideration to the application of John H. Wilson and Arthur K. Williams for permission to operate a taxi business under the name of Independent Taxi. On motion of Trustee Warner, seconded by McBride and car- ried, the application of John H. Wilson and Arthur K.
