Main St. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br /> No. 953 <br /> <br /> 'ermits for Food-Handling <br /> <br />and Extermination of Rodents. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Ordinance No. 954 <br /> <br />Creating Board of Forestry. <br /> <br />Williams to conduct a taxicab business to be known as the <br />Independent Taxi at Third and Spumgeon Streets, was denie, <br />on the grounds that the necessity does not exist at the <br />present time for an additional taxicab business. <br /> <br />, <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Warner, seconded by McBride and car- <br />ried, it was decided not to advertise in this yearls <br />issue of the California Real Estate Magazine. <br /> <br />A resolution adopted by the City of Los Angeles designa- <br />ting Southern California Prosperity Week, March Vth ko <br />12th, 1932, urging the purchase of products manufactured <br />in Southern California, was ~dopted, on motion of Trustee <br />McBride, seconded by HasenJaeger and carried. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Warner, seconded by McBride and car- <br />tied, the Mayor and Clerk were instructed to sign contract <br />with C. E. Price covering the leasing of the hog ranch <br />for a period of two years, comen~lng February 1st, 1532, <br />to January 31st, 1934, and the purchase of all garbage <br />from the City of Santa Ans. The minimum rental for said <br />ranch being $100.00 per month and the maximum rental <br />$250.00 per month~ With additional increases according t¢ <br />i~at hR prices. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Hasenjaeger, seconded by Witmer and <br />carried, sidewalks were ordered installed in front of <br />property owned by Thornton, Humphre~ and Fields on the <br />west side of South Main Street below Pomona Avenue for <br />approximately 660 feet as agreed by property owners or <br />show cause why installation cannot be made. <br /> <br />An Ordinance entitled: <br /> <br /> "An0rdlnance of the City of Santa Ana, regulating the <br />Issuance of Permits for Food-Handling Businesses and the <br />extermination of and prevention of Rodents in such <br />establishments; and providing a penalty for the violation <br />thereof." <br /> <br />was finally read, considered, designated Ordinance No. <br />955 and passed by the following vote: <br /> <br /> Ayes, Trustees J.L. McBride, E.G. Warner, Paul B. <br /> Wltmer, A.C.
