B. Kumpe for 0ement Sidewalk and <br />Curbing was referred to the Chair for approval or dis- <br />approval. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Warner, seconded by McBride and <br />tied, the application of Staton Bros. for permission to <br />erect a service station at the northwest corner of First <br />and Spu~geon Streets, was referred to the Planning Oom~is <br />sion for recommendation. On motion of Trustee McBride <br />aaoonded by Warner and carried, the recommendation of <br />the Planning Commission was accepted and the property at <br />the northwest corner of First and Spurgeon was ordered <br />posted ~or special uses and the hearing date set January <br />18th, 1952, ?:50 P.M. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee HasenJaeger', seconded by McBride <br /> <br />carried, the communications of the Linons Club, Exchange <br />Club, United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners, <br /> <br />Orange County Bricklayers, Holy Name Society, St. Joseph' <br /> <br />Parish and the Orange County Building Trades Council <br /> for starting <br />commending the Council/on the ~w~ediate construction of <br /> <br />the propose~ auditorium and stadium at the Olive Bowl, <br />were accepted a~ filed. <br /> <br />On mo~ion of Trustee HasenJaeger, seconded by McBride <br />ca~ried, the application of Robertson Electric <br />for permission to hang an electric sign for the Fourth <br />Street Market at ~0~ E. Fourth Street was granted under <br />supervisionof the Electrical Inspector. <br /> <br />On mo~ on of Trustee Witmer, seconded by Warner and car- <br />tied, the co,~unication of C. H. Eckles giving notice of <br />the complete withdrawal of the ~anta Aha Bas Service en <br />February llth, 1952, was accepted and filed. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by HasenJaeger <br />carried, the resolutions of the IntarnationalPrinting <br />Pressman Union No. 1~, Carpenters Loca~ Union 6S8, <br />Brotherhood of Painters, Decorators and Paperhangers of <br />America, Musicians Mutual Protective Assn., Internationa~ <br />Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Barbers LooaX Union, <br />~anta Ana Typographical Union and Motion Picture Machine~ <br />Operator's Union condemning the City Council for its <br />attempt to reduce the wage scale for common laborers on <br />city work to $2.80 por day, were accepte~ and filed. <br /> <br /> <br />
