Robinson. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Warner, seconded by Hasenjaeger and <br />carried, the communication of the Railroad Commission of <br />the State of California stating that the time limit on <br />the construction of the subway on East Fourth Street has <br />expired and the matter closed and if the city desires to <br />proceed with the construction at a future date it will be <br />necessary to file another application, was accepted and <br />filed. <br /> <br />,, <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Warner, seconded by Witmer and car- <br />ried, the invitation of Pappas Bros., to the opening of <br />their Pool and Billiard Parlor at 316 E. Fourth Street, <br />was accepted and filed. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Witmer, seconded by Hasenjaeger and <br />carried, the application of Verne A. Baker for the use of <br />Birch Park Thursday evening from 8:00 t9 9 P.M., for the <br />purpose of discussing the Sharkey Bill, was granted by <br />the following vote: <br /> <br /> Ayes, Trustees J.L. McBride, Paul B. Witmer, A.C. Hasenjaeger, John Knox. <br /> <br /> Noes, Trustees E.G. Warner. <br /> <br />Absent, Trustees None. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Witmer, seconded by Warner and car- <br />ried, the application ~ E. B. Jones,owning property at <br />2525 N. Main Street facing the S~ntiago Creek Bridge, for <br />permission to fill in to the edge of the bridge, was <br />referred to a committee for investigation and report back <br />in one week. Trustees Hasenjaeger and C~ty Engineer were <br />~ppointed as the committee. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee HasenJaeger, seconded by Witmer and <br />carried, the application of P. A. Robinson for permission <br />to erect a canvas covering on his lot located at the <br />southeast corner of Fourth and Ross and to sell produce <br />from lug boxes at said location, was denied. <br /> <br /> <br />
