In Re Ordinance Water Softeners, etc. 483 No protests having been filed, on motion ~ Trustee Warner seconded by~Witmer and carried, the rec~nmendation of the Planning Commission was accepted and the application of M.R..Kellogg for pe~aission to erect an auto court at Roe Drive and Santa Aha Boulevard, was granted. On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Warner and car- tied, the Clerk was authorized to draw a warrant in amount of $5000.00 in favor of the Orange County Title Company from the WaterFund covering the purchase of the following described property for water well site: All that certain real property situated in the City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of California, des- cribed as follows, to-wit: Co~nencing at a point in the center of Olive Street, said point being B3.§? chains west from the northeast cor- ner of the tractor, land assigned to Julian Chares in the partition of the Rancho Santiago de Santa Ama by the Dis- trict Court o~ the late 1Vth Judicial District of the State of California; running thence south 54§.? feet to a point 25 feet south of the extended north line of Block "B" of "Grcuardts Addition to the ~own of Santa A~" as shown on a map recorded in Book 23, page ~$ of Miscella- neous reee~ds of Los Angeles County, California, said last mentioned point being the true point of beginning of the property herein described, and running thence from said true point of beginning West parallel to the north line of Sixth Street, 17~.~6 feet to a point 400 feet East of the west line of Block "B" of said Grouardts Addition; ther~e north 9B.50 feet; thence east parallel to the North line of Sixth Street, 173.~ feet to a point in the said center line of Olive Street, and thence south alon~ said center line of Olive Street, 9~.50 feet to the trme point ef beginning. Subject to the reservation of a strip EO feet wide off the East side for Olive Street. On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by HasenJaeger and carried, the Clerk was instructed to advertise for bids for the drilling of a water well to a depth of approxi- mately ~40 feet in the vicinity of Sixth and Olive Streets approximately 12B feet north of Sixth~ Street and west of Olive Street in the City of Santa Ans. ~On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by HasenJaeger and carried, the Clerk was instructed to advertise for bids for the furnishing of casing, starters and shoes for a water well approximately ~0 feet deep. An Ordinan~ce was introduced amending Section 154 of Ordi- nance No. SP.1 of the City of Santa Aha pertaining to ~the installation of water softeners and other similar fixtures in the City of Santa Ans. The Ordinance was read, con- sidered and referred back to the City Attorney. On motion of Trustee Warner, seConded by Hasenjaeger carried, the City Council adJou~nsd to Monday, May ~th, 1932, at 7:30 P.M., in the Council Chamber.
