In Re Application E. B. Jones. In Re Resignation of John Knox~ Mayor. Om motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Warner and car- ried, the agreement between Mrs. H. L. Mattson, a widow and Grace Puterbaugh, a single woman, and the City of Santa Aha was approved eovering the purchase of certain real property located on Olive Street in the City of santa Aha for a water well site, and the Clerk and Mayor were instructed to sign agreement. On motion of Trustee HasenJaeger, seconded by McBride -n~ carried, th~ Clerk was instructed to deposit checks from coveri ~ng asphaltic pavement property ~wners/on N. Main Street between Fourth and Fifth as follows: Mrs. W~ma L. French $35.00 Abstract & Title Guaranty Co. 38.75 Orange County Title Co. 58.86 City of Santa Ana 45.20 On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Warner and car- tied, the bond of The First National Bank of Santa Ana in amount of SZO00.O0 representing a certain tract of land known as Tract No. 985, was exonerated as far as the City of Santa Aha is cc~cerned. . On motion of Trustee Witmer, seconded by McBride and car- ried, the application ~f Geo. C. Wells for permission t o cut ninety feet of curb at his service station on the southeast corner of Main and Berkely Streets, was referrei to Trustee HasenJaeger and the City Engineer. ,, On motion of Trustee Hasen~aeger, seconded by McBride and carried, t~e application of E. B. Jones, owning property at 2525 N. Main Street facing the Santiago Creek bridge, for permission to fill in to the edge of the bridge, was denied. At this time Mayor Knox requested Trustee Hasenjaeger to take the Chair. On motion of Trustee Enox, eeconded by McBride and ca~ried~ the resignation John Knox as Mayor of the City of Santa Aha, was accepted. In Re Appointment Paul B. Witmer as Mayor. On motion of Trustee Knox, seconded by Warner and car- ried, Trustee Paul B. Witmer was appointed as Mayor of the City of Santa Ama to fill the vacancy made by the resignation of John Knox. At this time Trustee HasenJaeger surrendered the 0~ai~ to Mayor paul B. Witmer.
