Penn was appointed as Trustee of the Second <br />Ward to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of <br /> <br />John Knox. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee HasenJaeger, seconded by Warner and <br />carried, the application of Bruce Hays for the position <br />as Custodian of the Bowers Memorial Museum, was referred <br />to the Museum Committee. <br /> <br />On motion <br />carried, the <br /> <br />Trustee McBride, seconded by HasenJaeger and <br />communication from the Univer~ty of Souther~ <br />California urging the City,s participation in the Fifth <br />Annual Institute of Government (formerly Short Course) to <br />be held at the University of Souther~ California from <br />June 13th to 17th, 1932, was taken under advisement. <br /> <br />~n~ motion of Trustee Warner, seconded by HasenJaeger and <br />carried, Floyd W. Howard, Chief of Police, was granted <br />permission to leave the State of California for approxi- <br />mately one month to take effect May 28th, 1~32. <br /> <br /> <br />
