Santa A~a City Hall. August 15th, 1932. V:30 p./'~i. City Council met in regular session. Meeting called to order by ~,ayor Witmer. Present: Trtmtees J.L. McBride, E.G. Warner, W.H. Penn, A.C. Hasenjaeger, Paul B. Witmer. Absent: Trustees None. Minutes of meetings of August 1st and 8th were approved as read. In Re Protest Mrs. P.M. Mo!~. In Re Communication Metropolitan ¥~ater District. In Re Report of County Auditor. In Re Request of W. 0. Hill. In Re Application John Brown Tabernacle. In Re Offer of Policyholders Service Corp. In Re Application Richard Winchell. On motion of Trustee t!ssenjaeger, seconded by Warner and carried, the protest of Mrs. P. M. Me.hr against the removal of the crossing gates on East Fourth Street, was referred to the City Attorney. On motion of Trustee Hasenjseger, seconded by Warner and carried, the communication of Th~ ~etropolitan Water District inclosing ~ certified copy of Resolution No.248 adopted by the Board of Directors levying a tax upon taxable property within the District, was received and filed. ,, On motion of Trustee HasenJaeger, seconded by Penn and carried, the report of W. T. Lambert, Cooaaty Auditor, placing Santa Ana~s valuation for the year 1932-33 at ~19,83V,500.00, was received and filed. On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Warner and car- ried, the request of W. 0. Hill for an extension of thirt days time to complete his contract for the drilling of water well, was granted. ,, On motion of Trustee Pe~mu, seconded by HasenJaeger and carried, Trustee Warner was appointed a committee of one to u, ork with a committee representing the Jo~hn Brown Tabernacle to contact residents in the vicinity of the 900 block South Broadway regarding the establistz~ent of the John Brown Tabernacle at said location. On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Penn and car- ried, the offer of the Policyholders Service Corporation to study the inmzrance policies and effect a saving to the City, was referred to Trustee Hasenjaeger and the City Auditcm to investigate and report back.
