Swing <br />in reference to making formal application to the Re con- <br />struction Finance Corporation for a loan, was accepted <br />and l~iled. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee McBriae, secondea by HasenJaeger and <br />carried, the agreemont of the Southern Counties Gas <br />Company covering consumption of gas at the pumping plant <br />on Bristol Street for a period of two years beginning <br />August 1st, 1932, was approved and the Mayor and Clerk <br />were instructed to sign same. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Warner and car- <br />ried, the oral request of Dr. John McAuley to the City <br />Clerk for the withdrawal of his application to conduct <br />his office in his residence, 627 Orange Avenue, was grant <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Penn and car- <br />tied, the application of Derlie M. Hunton to operate a <br />Beauty Shop in her home at 1018 W. Sixth Street, was <br />denied on recommendation of the Planning Commission. <br /> <br />,, <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Warner, secon~ied by McBride and car- <br />tied, W. F. N&cholson was appointed a special police <br />officer without pay for the City of Santa Ana. <br /> <br />,, <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee HasenJaeger, seconded by McBride <br />carried, the recommendation of Bowers Memorial Museum <br />Committee was accepted and the Purchasing Agent was <br />instructed to purchase electrical fixtures from The <br />Meyberg Company at the price of $900.00 and to accept the <br />offer of the ~ope Electric Company to hang the fixtures <br />at the price of $59.00 in the Bowers Memorial Museum. <br /> <br />,, <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Hasenjaeger <br />carried, the Council proceeded to open bids for the fur- <br />nishing of On, Tmrbine Pump complete as follows: <br /> <br /> <br />
