Santa Ana City Hall. January ~0th, 19~, City Council met in regular adjourned session. Meeting called to order by Mayor Witmer. Present: Trustees J.L. McBride, E.G. Warner, W~H. Penn, A.C. HasenJaeger, Paul B. Witmer. Absent: Trustees None. In ~e Co~nunication Congressman Phil D. Swing. In Re Agreement Sou. Counties Gas Co. In Re Application Dr. John ~cAuley. In Re Application Derlie M. Hunton. In He Appointment ~'. F. Nicholson. In Re Electrical Fixtures Bowers Memorial Museum. In Re Bids on ~ater Pump. On motion of Trustee HasenJaeger, seconded by Penn and carried, the comunication from Congressman Phil D. Swing in reference to making formal application to the Re con- struction Finance Corporation for a loan, was accepted and l~iled. On motion of Trustee McBriae, secondea by HasenJaeger and carried, the agreemont of the Southern Counties Gas Company covering consumption of gas at the pumping plant on Bristol Street for a period of two years beginning August 1st, 1932, was approved and the Mayor and Clerk were instructed to sign same. On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Warner and car- ried, the oral request of Dr. John McAuley to the City Clerk for the withdrawal of his application to conduct his office in his residence, 627 Orange Avenue, was grant On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Penn and car- tied, the application of Derlie M. Hunton to operate a Beauty Shop in her home at 1018 W. Sixth Street, was denied on recommendation of the Planning Commission. ,, On motion of Trustee Warner, secon~ied by McBride and car- tied, W. F. N&cholson was appointed a special police officer without pay for the City of Santa Ana. ,, On motion of Trustee HasenJaeger, seconded by McBride carried, the recommendation of Bowers Memorial Museum Committee was accepted and the Purchasing Agent was instructed to purchase electrical fixtures from The Meyberg Company at the price of $900.00 and to accept the offer of the ~ope Electric Company to hang the fixtures at the price of $59.00 in the Bowers Memorial Museum. ,, On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Hasenjaeger carried, the Council proceeded to open bids for the fur- nishing of On, Tmrbine Pump complete as follows:
