Santa Aha City Hall. October 23rd, 1933. 7:30 P.M. City Council met in regular adJottrned session. Meeting called to order by Mayor Witmer. Present: Trustees A.F. LeGaye, E.G. Warner, W.H. Penn, A.C. HasenJaeger, Paul B. Witmer. Absent: Trustees None. In Re Application h.S. Pettigrew. In Re Warrant from Sou.Calif. Telephone Co. In Re Ordinance No. 40 Metropolitan Water District· In Re Health Report · In Re Resignation Poundmaster. In Re Application to Sell Beverages. In Re Application Dr. E. Teigan. On motion of Trustee Warner, seconded by Penn and carried the application of H. S. Pettigrew to conduct the auto wrecking business at 91§ E. First Street, was granted. On motion of Trustee HasenJaeger,~ seconded by Warner and carried, the warrant in amount of $5,035.23 from the Southern California Telephone Company covering 2% of gros receipts from August 20, 1932 to October 12, 19~, inclu- sive, under franchise granted by Ordinance No. 965, was accepted and Clerk instructed to deposit same. On motion of Trustee HasenJaeger, seconded by LeGaye and carried, the communication and Ordinance No. 40 of the Metropolitan Water District, were received and the Clerk · instructed to post Ordinance on bulletin board· On motion of Trustee Warner, seconded by Penn and carried the Health Report for the months of July, August and September, 19~, was referred to the Finance Committee. On motion of Trustee Warner, seconded by LeGaye and car- ried, the resignation of W. H. Hamil as Poundmaster of the City was accepted as of October ~lst, On motion of Trustee HasenJaeger, seconded by Penn and carried, the application of J. H. Smith to sell on-sale beverages at 314 W. Fourth Street, was granted with the provision that license will be revoked if the person or firm does not comply with the Ordinance regulating said buaine ss · On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Warner and carried the recommendation of the Planning Commission was accep- ted and the application of Dr. E. Teigan for a permit to to practice his profession as chiropractor at 711 So. Broadway, was denied for the reason that it is in viola- tion of the Zoning Ordinance.
