On motion of seconded by Warner and carried, the City instructed to install the flag pole at the Jack Fisher Park with R.F.C. labor. On recommendation of the Planning Commission and at the request of Otto Jacobs, representing property owners, a motion was made by Trustee Penn, seconded by HasenJaeger and carried, to continue the hearing for one week on the application of Chas. E. and Lulu B. Chatlain for the re- zoning of property at Bush and Senta Clara Avenue to con- duct a nursery. On motion of Trustee Warner, seconded by LeGaye and car- ried, the recommendation of the Planning Commission was accepted and the application of the Santa Arm Community Players Association to erect a meeting hall on city pro- perty at the northeast corner of Twentieth and Main Streets, was laid on the table for one week. The request of the Union Oil COmpany of California that the City Council proceed to close up, vacate and abandon ~oortion of a/certain alley located between First Street, Walnut Street, Evergreen and Minnie Street, cost incurred in such vacation to be paid by the Union Oil Company. No action was taken on the request. On motion of Trustee Hasenjaeger, carried, the Mayor and Clerk were seconded by Warner and authorized to sign an agreement with the Forestry Departmen~ of San Bernardino National Forest permitting the Department to connect with pipelines owned by Santa Ana at Forest H~me Camp Grounds, to bear all expenses in making connections, install tees and plugs in their line, maintain their own line and agreeing to bear 50~ of cost of maintenance of Santa Ana,~ line and install meters at connection to comlmute their consump ti on · On motion of Trustee Warner, seconded by LeGaye and car- ried, Roch Bradshaw was appointed special police officer of the City of Santa Arm without pay. On motion of Trustee Hasenjaeger, seconded by Penn and carried, it was resolved that the City of Santa Ana, a Municipal Corporationl, accept from J. William Sackman and Gertrude E. Sackman, husband and wife, the conveyance of property on. Olive Street between Sixth and Eighth Streets for street purposes.
