Santa Ana City Hall. <br /> <br />November 14th, 1933. 1:30 P.M. <br /> <br />City Council met in regular adjourned session. <br />Meeting called to order by Mayor Witmer. <br /> <br />Present: Trustee A.F. LeGaye, E.G. Warner, <br /> W.H. Penn, Paul B. Witmer. <br /> <br />Absent: <br /> <br />Trustee A.C. Hasenjaeger. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Applications <br /> <br />Taxicab Drivers. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Request of <br /> <br />Salvation Army. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Ordinance <br /> <br />Calling Special Election <br /> <br />for Indebtedness--City Hall. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Warner, seconded by LeGaye and car- <br />ried, the applicstions of Bryon L. Merchant to drive a <br />taxicab for Broadway Cab and of Leigh A. Mallery to drive <br />a taxicab for Home Cab, were granted. <br /> <br />A committee from the Salvation Army appeared before the <br />Council requesting a donation from the City to help toward <br />expenses in taking care of the transients by the Army. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee LeGaye, seconded by Penn and carried <br />the Chair was authorized to appoint a committee to inves- <br />tigate said matter. Trustees Penn, Warner and the City <br /> <br /> appointed as the committee. <br /> <br />Attorney was <br /> <br />An Ordinance <br /> <br />entitled: <br /> <br /> "An Ordinance of the City of Sauta Ana, California, <br />calling a Special Election to be held in said City on the <br />19th day of December, 1933~ and providing for the submis- <br />sion to the qualified voters of said City on the proposi- <br />tion of incurring indebtedness for the erection and con- <br />struction of a City Hall on City owned property, ~ <br />for the issuance of bonds therefor, for the levying of a <br />tax for the payment of said bcnds, consolidating said <br />Special Election with State Special Election to be held <br />December 19th, 1933, designating the polling places and <br />appointing election officers for said election." <br /> <br />was introduced, read, considered and referred back to the <br /> <br />City Attorney. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee LeGaye, seconded by Penn and carried <br />the City Council adjourned. <br /> <br />APPROVED: <br /> <br /> a <br />M yet of the City of Santa'A a. <br /> <br />Cit~ C~rk. <br /> <br /> <br />
