Santa Aha City Hall. <br /> <br />November 20th, 1933. 7:30 P.~?i. <br /> <br />City ~ouncil met in regular session. <br /> <br />Meeting called to order by Mayor Witmer. <br /> <br />Present: Trustees A.F. LeGaye, E.G. Warner, <br />W.H. Penn, A.C. Hasenjaeger, Paul B. Witmer. <br /> <br /> Absent: Trustees None. <br /> <br />Minutes of meetings of November 6th, 13th and <br /> 14th were approved as read. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Warrant from <br /> <br />Pacific Electric Ry. <br /> <br />Co. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Application <br /> <br />Jesus Gastelo. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Approving Resolution <br /> <br />Colo. River Aqueduct. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Invitation to <br /> <br />League Meeting at Indio. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Flag Pole at <br /> <br />Jack Fisher Park. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Hasenjaeger, seconded by Warner and <br />carried, the warrant in amount of $205.62 from the Pacific <br />Electric Railway Company covering amount due the City <br />under franchise Ordinance No. 381 for year ending Novembe~ <br />7th, 1933, was accepted and the Clerk instructed to <br />deposit the warrant. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Warner, seconded by Hasenjaeger and <br />carried, the application of Jesus Gastelo for a permit to <br />operate a pool hall at 2026 W. Fifth Street in a building <br />formerly used as a store building, was referred to the <br />Planning Commis sion. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Hasenjaeger, seconded by Penn and <br />carried, the statement of the Planning Commission that <br />building at 2026 W. Fifth Street was in place and in the <br />Light Industrial Zone, was accepted and the application <br />of Jesus Gastelo to operate pool hall was referred to the <br />Police Commissioner · <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Hasenjaeger, seconded by LeGaye and <br />carr~ d, a resolution was approved urging the Federal <br />Government to grant application for $59,750,000 to assure <br />uninterrupted construction of Colorado River Aqueduct a~i <br />the Clerk instructed to send copy of resolution to the <br />Hon. Harold L. Ickes, Federal Emergency Administrator of <br /> <br />Public <br /> <br />Works, Washington, D.C. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Warner, seconded by Hasenjaeger and <br />carried, the communication from the City of Indio invitir <br />the Council to attend the dinner meeting of the Citrus <br />Belt Division of the League at Indio, November 24th, 193~ <br />was received and filed. <br /> <br />,, <br /> <br />A committee from the American Legion appeared before the <br />Council requesting that the flag pole at the old city hal <br />site at Third and Main Streets be moved to Jack Fisher <br /> <br /> <br />
