Santa Aha City Hall. November 20th, 1933. 7:30 P.~?i. City ~ouncil met in regular session. Meeting called to order by Mayor Witmer. Present: Trustees A.F. LeGaye, E.G. Warner, W.H. Penn, A.C. Hasenjaeger, Paul B. Witmer. Absent: Trustees None. Minutes of meetings of November 6th, 13th and 14th were approved as read. In Re Warrant from Pacific Electric Ry. Co. In Re Application Jesus Gastelo. In Re Approving Resolution Colo. River Aqueduct. In Re Invitation to League Meeting at Indio. In Re Flag Pole at Jack Fisher Park. On motion of Trustee Hasenjaeger, seconded by Warner and carried, the warrant in amount of $205.62 from the Pacific Electric Railway Company covering amount due the City under franchise Ordinance No. 381 for year ending Novembe~ 7th, 1933, was accepted and the Clerk instructed to deposit the warrant. On motion of Trustee Warner, seconded by Hasenjaeger and carried, the application of Jesus Gastelo for a permit to operate a pool hall at 2026 W. Fifth Street in a building formerly used as a store building, was referred to the Planning Commis sion. On motion of Trustee Hasenjaeger, seconded by Penn and carried, the statement of the Planning Commission that building at 2026 W. Fifth Street was in place and in the Light Industrial Zone, was accepted and the application of Jesus Gastelo to operate pool hall was referred to the Police Commissioner · On motion of Trustee Hasenjaeger, seconded by LeGaye and carr~ d, a resolution was approved urging the Federal Government to grant application for $59,750,000 to assure uninterrupted construction of Colorado River Aqueduct a~i the Clerk instructed to send copy of resolution to the Hon. Harold L. Ickes, Federal Emergency Administrator of Public Works, Washington, D.C. On motion of Trustee Warner, seconded by Hasenjaeger and carried, the communication from the City of Indio invitir the Council to attend the dinner meeting of the Citrus Belt Division of the League at Indio, November 24th, 193~ was received and filed. ,, A committee from the American Legion appeared before the Council requesting that the flag pole at the old city hal site at Third and Main Streets be moved to Jack Fisher
