LeGaye. <br /> <br />O~ motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Warner and car- <br />tied, tho reco-w-endation of the Water 8uperintendent was <br />accepted and the bid of By~on-Jackson Company in amount <br />of $2942.86 covering One turbine pump was accepted and <br />the 01erk was instructed to retumn the check of the <br />unsuccessful bidders. <br /> <br />A Hesolution was introduced approving and u~gi~E the <br />passage of Assembly Bill No. 1172, introduced in the <br />Assembly by Assemblyman Ted Craig, commonly knowax as the <br />League of California Municipalities' Gas Tax Bill, pro- <br />riding for a direct allocation to the cities of a portion <br />of the gasoline tax moneys now received by the State of <br />California and expended on State Highways. The resolu- <br />tion was ordered filed, read, considered, designated <br />Resolution No. ~549 and passed by the following v~te: <br /> <br /> Ayes, Trustees J.L. McBride, E.G. Wa~ner~ W.E. Pen~, <br /> A.C. HasenJaeger, Paul B. Witmer. <br /> <br /> Noes, Trustees None. <br /> <br />Absent, Trustees None. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee McBride, s econde~"~ {~asenJaeger and <br />carried, the Clerk was imstructed to mail copies of Reso- <br />lution No. 2349,relative to Assembly Bill No. 1172 and <br />know~ as the League of California Municipalitiest Gas <br /> <br />Tax Bill~ to the following: <br /> <br /> Senator N. T. Edwards, Orange, Calif. <br /> Assemblyman Ted Craig, Brea, Calif. <br /> Assemblyman James B. Utt, Santa Ann, Oalif. <br /> Nellie Thompson~ City Manager, Berkeley, Calif. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee HasenJaeger, seconded ~y Penn and <br />carried, th~ resignation of DeWitt Dudley as City Engi- <br />neer, Street Superintendent and ~ater Superintendent was <br />accepted to take effect March 1st, 1955, allowing two <br />weeks vacation with pay. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee HasenJaeger, seconded by Warner and <br />oarried~ the resignation of J. L. McBride as Trustee of <br />the First Ward of the City of Santa Ann, was accepted <br />with regrets · <br /> <br />~m motion of Trustee HasenJaeger, seconded by Warner and <br />carried, a vote of thanks was extended to Mm. J. L. <br />McBride for the cooperation and assistance given the <br />Council whil~e acting as Trmstee of the City. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by HasenJaeger and <br />carried, A. F. LeGaye was appointed as Trustee of the <br /> <br /> <br />
