O~ motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Warner and car- tied, tho reco-w-endation of the Water 8uperintendent was accepted and the bid of By~on-Jackson Company in amount of $2942.86 covering One turbine pump was accepted and the 01erk was instructed to retumn the check of the unsuccessful bidders. A Hesolution was introduced approving and u~gi~E the passage of Assembly Bill No. 1172, introduced in the Assembly by Assemblyman Ted Craig, commonly knowax as the League of California Municipalities' Gas Tax Bill, pro- riding for a direct allocation to the cities of a portion of the gasoline tax moneys now received by the State of California and expended on State Highways. The resolu- tion was ordered filed, read, considered, designated Resolution No. ~549 and passed by the following v~te: Ayes, Trustees J.L. McBride, E.G. Wa~ner~ W.E. Pen~, A.C. HasenJaeger, Paul B. On motion of Trustee HasenJaeger, seconded ~y Penn and carried, th~ resignation of DeWitt Dudley as City Engi- neer, Street Superintendent and ~ater Superintendent was accepted to take effect March 1st, 1955, allowing two weeks vacation with pay. . On motion of Trustee HasenJaeger, seconded by Warner and oarried~ the resignation of J. L. McBride as Trustee of the First Ward of the City of Santa Ann, was accepted with regrets · ~m motion of Trustee HasenJaeger, seconded by Warner and carried, a vote of thanks was extended to Mm. J. L.
