Santa Ana City Hall. July 5th, 193~. V:OO P.M. City Council met in regular adjourned session. Meeting called to order by Mayor Witmer. Present: Trustees A. F. LeGaye, E. G. Warner, A. C. HasenJaeger, Paul B. Witmer. Absent: Trustees W. H. Penn. Minutes of meetings of June lgth, 26th and July 3rd, were approved as read. In Re Communication Mrs. 'Laura L. Mulrray. In Re Electric Sign. In Re Monthly Reports.' In Re Warrants. In Re Agreement S. E. Eller. In Re Business on S. A. Boulevard. In Re 0ommittee Appointed. In Re Reso. No. 2361 Canvassing Election Returns Declaring Result of Electipn. On motion of Trustee Warner, seconded by LeGaye and car- ried, the communication of Mrs. Laura L. Murray thanking the Council for the resolution of sympathy sent her on the death of her husband, was received and filed. ,, On motion of Truste~ HasenJaeger, seconded by Warner and carried,' the application of Allen, Trusty & Sons for per- mission to hang an electric sign for the General Paint & Body Works, 108 S. Main Street, was granted under supa~- vision of the Electrical Inspector. On motion of Trustee HasenJaeger, seconded by LeGaye and carried, the monthly reports for June of the city officer: were referred to the Finance Committee. On motion of Trustee Warner, seconded by HasenJaeger and carried, the Clerk was instx,Acted to draw warrants accord. ing to demands audited by the Finance Committee. On motion of Trustee HasenJaeger, seconded by LeGaye and carried, the Mayor and Clerk were instructed to sign an agreement with .~. E. Eller to permit the construction of an electric sign at 81g S. Main Street, which will extend ever and upon the five foot set-back line established on South Main Street. On motion of Trustee Warner, seconded by LeGaye and car- ried, the matter of sign and the business of a produce stand being conducted on ~nta Aha Boulevard west of Flower Street, was referred to the Planning C~mmission. Mayc~ Witmer appointed the City Atto~wey and the Chief of Police as a c~ittee ko lmvestigate the applications filed to sell legal beverages in the City of ~ant-a~-~- . On motion of Trustee HasenJaeger~ seconded by Wa~ner and carried, the Council proceeded to canvass the election returns of the SpeaiA~ Election of the City of Santa Aha
