On motion of Trustee LeGaye, seconded by Warner and car- tied, the application of Richard E. Meyers for a permit to operate two taxicabs under the name of"Broadway Cab" at 308 N. Broadway, was re~erred to the Taxicab Comml ssion On motion of Trustee HasenJaeger, seconded by Warner and carried, the communication and Ordinance No. 38 of the Metropolitan Water D~strict were received and the Clerk instructed to post Ordinance No. 38 on the bulletin board. On motion of Trustee HasenJaeger, seconded by LeGaye and carried, the communication of Mrs. Barbara Caroline Ralph offering to sell her property at the northeast corner of Second and Freaah Streets for a City Hall site, was receiv and filed. On motion of Trustee HasenJaeger, seconded by Warner and carried, the property known as the third lot south of Bishop Street on Main Street was ordered posted for spec- ial usee and the hearing date set July l?th, 193~, in accordance with the application of James R. Wilbur for a permit to erect a stucco, lath and glass bulb and nursery sales rool~. Oa motion of Trustee HasenJaeger, seconded by LeGaye and carried, the cormmanication of W. B. Hampton stating hie intention to conduct an auction one day each week, hand- ling both his own stock and merchandise for private par- ties, was received and filed. An Ordinance entitled: "An Ordinance 'amending Ordinance Nc. 658, passed on November 3(~, 1920, and amendments themeto, entitled "An Ordinance providing for the licensing of business, shows, exhibitions and games conducted or carried on in the City of Santa Ann, fixing the rate of license therefor and providing for.collection thereof" by adding a new section thereto to be numbered Section 100" was finally read, considered, designated Ordinance No. 979 and passed by the following vote: Ayes, Trustees A.F. LeGaye, E.G. Warner, A.C. HasenJaeg.er, Paul B. Witmer. Noes, Ti~AstseB Nonce Absent, Trustees N.H,.Penn. An Ordinance entitled: "An Ordinance of the City of S~uta Ana pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 178 cf the Statues of 1933 of the State of California, classifying the various types of licenses, and prescribing the amount and manner of col- lection of license fees and taxes for the sale and dis- tribution of beverages"
