Santa Ana City Hall. <br /> March §, 1934. 7:30 P.M. <br />City Council met in regular session. <br />Meeting called to order by Mayor Witmer. <br />Present: Trustees A.F. LeGaye, E.G. Warner, <br />W.H. Penn, A.C. HasenJaeger, Paul B. Witmer. <br />Absent: Trustees None. <br />Minutes of meetings of February 19th and <br />28th were approved as read. <br /> <br /> In Re On motion of Trustee HasenJaeger, seconded by Penn and <br /> Communication carried,, the communication of the Santa Aha Chamber of <br /> Chamber of Commerce. Commerce was received and filed with reference to survey <br /> being made on Civil Service applying to departmentsof the <br /> city government and offering to give facts and figures <br /> as soon as they are compiled. The Clerk was instructed <br /> to acknowledge and thank the Chamber for the offer. <br /> In Re On motion of Trustee HasenJaeger, seconded by Penn and <br /> Communication carried, the con~nunication of Mrs. M. Gutzen requesting <br /> Mrs. M. Gutzen. that her taxes be lowered on the property at 902 W. 8th <br /> Street, near the Municipal Bowl, was referred to the <br /> County AsSessor. <br /> In Re 0n motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by HasenJaeger and <br /> Pool Hall carried, the application of Philip Zlaket for permission <br /> of Philip Zlaket. to conduct a pool hall at 17~5 W. Fourth Street, was <br /> referred to the Police Commissioner and Chief of Police <br /> forinvestigation. <br /> In Re On motion of Trustee HasenJaeger, seconded by LeG~ye and <br /> Request of carried, the communication of The Orange County Historica~ <br /> Or. Co. Historical Society. Society urging the Council to take steps for the early <br /> opening of the Bowers Memorial Museum for the purposes <br /> for which it was intended, was taken under advisement. <br /> In Re Petitions in favor of and protests against the issuance <br /> Application of a permit to D. H. Johnson to conduct a dance hall at <br /> D.H. Johnson--Dance Hall. 606 W. Fourth Street, were read,and heard. On motion of <br /> Trustee HasenJaeger, seconded by Penn and carried, the <br /> application of D. H.
