Johnson. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee LeGaye, seconded by Warner and car- <br />ried, the application of Pedro Gonzales for permission to <br />operate a push-cart for the purpose of selling ice cream, <br />etc. in the Mexican District, was referred to the Plan- <br />ning Commission. The Planning Co~nission reported that <br />it had no Jurisdiction in the matter and on motion of <br />Trustee LeGaye, seconded by Penn and carried, the appli- <br />cation of Pedro Gonzales was referred to the Street <br />Commissioner for investigation. <br /> <br />,, <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Warner, seconded by LeGaye and car- <br />ried, the application of Cecil Wendell Williams f~ a <br />permit to drive ,a taxicab for the Broadway Cab, was <br />granted on recommendation of the Taxi Commission. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee HasenJaeger, seconded by Penn and <br />carried, the co~nunication of J. L. McBride, Street Super- <br /> <br />intendent, relative to cleaning weeds on vacant lots <br />stating <br />and the cost involved if handled by the ~$2,/that~ CoW.A. <br /> <br />crews have not been used on this work, was taken ,mder <br />advisement for one week. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee HasenJaeger, seconded by LeGaye and <br />carried, the application of Gilmore Oil Company £a~ per- <br />mission to erect a Steel service station at the south- <br />east corner of First and C~press Streets, was granted on <br />recommendation of the Planning Commission granting same <br />under special uses. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by LeGaye and carried <br />the application of Philip Zlaket for permission to con- <br />duct a pool hall at 1736 W. Fourth Street, was granted on <br />recommendation of the Police Commission and Chief of Poli~ <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Warner, seconded by LeGaye and car- <br />tie d, the application of D. H. Johnson for a permit to <br />conduct a dancing academy at 606 W. Fourth Street, was <br />granted and all protests were witl~rawn, on condition <br />that windows are closed at the rear of building. <br /> <br /> <br />
