Counties <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee HasenJaeger, seconded by LeGaye and <br /> carried, the resolution adopted by the Federated Mission- <br /> ary Societies of Santa Ana requesting the City Council <br /> to appoint Police Women to assist in protectLug and safe- <br /> guarding the youth of the community, was referred to the <br /> Police Department to report back in one week. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Warner, seconded by Penn and carried, <br />the application of M. M. Hansen to operate a garage at <br />-2303 S. Main Street, was referred to the Planning Commis- <br />sion and the Building Inspect. ct for investigation. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee HasenJaeger, seconded by LeGaye and <br /> carried, action was deferred for one week on the applica- <br /> tion of Rollie Lee Montgomery, City Garage Foreman, for <br /> appointment as a special police officer of the City, <br /> without pay. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee HasenJaeger, seconded by Warner and <br /> carried, the application of Elmer Abbott for a refund of <br /> $1.78 on building permit covering improvement to be made <br /> at 1717 N. Baker Street, which ham been postponed, was <br /> denied on recommendation of the Building Inspector. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Warner, seconded by LeGaye and car- <br /> tied, action was deferred for one week on the purchase <br /> of an automobile for the Police Department, to obtain <br /> further information as to choice of automobile. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee HasenJaeger, seconded by ~eGaye and <br /> carried, the warrant of the Southern California Edison <br /> Company in amount of $2,104.§2 covering franchise tax for <br /> the year ending December 31st, 1933, was accepted and the <br /> Clerk instructed to deposit the warrant. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by LeGaye and carried. <br /> the warrant of the Southern Counties Gas Company in <br /> of $~,8VV.99 covering franchise tax for the year ending <br /> <br /> <br />
