Santa Ana City Hall. <br /> <br />April 30th, 1934. 7:30 P.~. <br /> <br />Ci$~ Council met in regular adjourned session. <br />Meeting called to order by the Clerk. <br /> <br />Present: Trustees A.F. LeGaye, E.G. Warner, <br /> W. H. Penn, A.C. HasenJaeger. <br /> <br /> Absent: Trustees Paul B. Witmer. <br /> <br />In the absence of Mayor Witmer, on motion of <br />Trustee LeGaye, seconded by Warner and carried, <br />T~ustee HasenJaeger was appointed Mayor Pro Tem. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Communication <br /> <br />S. Lockhart. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Electric Signs. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Application <br /> <br />Taxicab Driver. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by LeGaye and carried <br />the communication of S. B. Coen with reference to Council <br />intentions in giving up the Forest Home Camp Grounds, was <br />taken under advisement pending arrangements with W. 0. <br />Marriott to act as caretaker without cost to the City. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by LeGaye~and carried. <br />the application of Richard Myers to transfer the business <br />of the Broadway Cab Company at 303 N. Broadway to Cecil W <br />Williams, was referred to the Taxicab Con~nission. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Warner, seconded by Penn and carrted,i <br />the application of Catharine Meekes to conduct a pony rin~ <br />on the northeast corner of South Main and St. Andrews <br />Place, was referred to the Planning Commission. The <br />Planning Commission referred the application of Catharine <br />Meekes back to the Council without recommendation as ther~ <br />were no improvements involved. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Warner, seconded by LeGaye and car- <br />ried, the application of Catharine Meekes to conduct a <br />pony ring, was granted. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by LeGaye and carried <br />action was deferred on the appl~ ation of F. W.Lockhart <br />for appointment as a special police officer, pending <br />action on similar applications. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by LeGaye and carrie~ <br />the applications of the MacFarlane Electric for permissio <br />to hang electric signs for the McCoy Drug Company at 104 <br />E. Fourth Street and for the La Casa Trabuco Cafe at 104 <br />E. Fourth Street and 31§~ N. Main Street, were granted <br /> <br />under supervision of the Electrical Inspector. <br /> <br />,, <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Warner, seconded by Penn and carried. <br />the application of Robert Gibso~ for permission to drive <br />a taxicab' for the Broadway Cab Company was referred to <br /> <br /> <br />
