W. Williams for the trans- <br />fer of ownership of the Broadway Taxicab Company from <br /> <br /> to himself, was granted and the Clerk was <br /> issue city license accordingly. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Warner and carried. <br />the reports of the City Officers for the month of April, <br />were referred to the Finance Committee. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Warner, seconded by Penn and carried <br />the Clerk was instructed 'to draw warrants according to <br />the demands audited by the Finance Committee. <br /> <br />,, <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Warner, seconded by LeGaye and car- <br />ried, the application of the Santa Ana Riding Academy on <br />West First Street for permission to conduct a parade <br />Saturday afternoon through the business district, was <br />granted. <br /> <br />On motion of. Trustee Warner, seconded by Penn and carried <br />the application of Frank Millen in behalf of Sedgwick <br />Post No. 17 Grand Army of the Republic, for permission to <br />use Birch Park for a memorial service on May 30th, was <br />granted. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee HasenJaeger, seconded by LeGaye and <br />carried, it was decided to purchase the property of C.L. <br />Johnson at the northwest corner of Sixth and Olive Street: <br />at the price of $2300.00; With the understanding that a <br />certificate of title is to be furnished to the City and <br /> <br />appraisal and escrow fees <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Penn, <br /> <br />to be paid by Mr. Johnson. <br /> <br />seconded by Hasenjaeger and <br /> <br />carried, the Chair was authorized to appoint a committee <br />to investigate types of surety bonds in amount of <br />applicable to the appointment of special police officers <br /> <br /> <br />
