On motion of Trustee LeGaye, seconded by Penn and carried and on recommendation of the Building Inspector the City Engineer was authorized to repair the bracings and floor of the band stand in Birch Park. On motion of Trustee Warner, seconded by Penn and carried the application of Clarence H. Kreps for permission~to drive a taxicab for the Broadway Cab Company, was granted on recommendation of the Taxicab Commission. On motion of Trustee LeGaye, seconded by Warner and carried, Trustee A. C. Hasenjaeger was granted permission to leave the State fc~ a period of thirty days. On motion of Trustee LeGay~, seconded by Warner and car- ried, a personnel record of each city employee was ordered filled out and turned over to the City Auditor. On motion of Trustee LeGaye, seconded by Warner end car- ried, the City Attorney wac. instructed to prepare a reso- lution to be presented to the Board of Supervisors calling their attention to the section of the PolitiCal Code with reference in Orange to the population of the Supervisorial Districts County. An Ordinance entitled: "An Ordinance for safeguarding life and property by prohibiting the sale at retail, the disposal of by gift or as premiums, and the loaning or renting out for use, of certain electrical materials, devices, appliances and equipment unless approved for retail sale, installation and use; providimg for the approval of such electrical materials, devices, appliances end equipment if the same are found to be in conformity with the law and with approved methods of construction for safety to life and property; providing that the makerts name, trade-mark, or other identification symbol shall be placed thereon, togethe~ with appropriate ratings, necessary to determine the use for which intended, and that same shall not be removed, altered, changed or defaced; providing penalties for the violation of this ordinance and repealing all ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance." was introduced, read, considered and referred back to the city Attorney. On motion of Trustee LeGaye, seconded by Warner and car- tied, the following Resolution No, 2387 was adopted: "That ~lhereas, the City of Sant$ Ana embraces the entir~ First Supervisorial District of Orange County, California and Whereas, the remaining four Supervisorial Districts of Orange County, excepting the Third District thereof, are out of line, so far as population is concerned; and Whereas, the City Council of the City of Santa Aha respectfully calls to the attention of the Board of Super~ visors, Section 4029 of the Political Code of the State
