No. 2387 <br /> <br />Supervisorial Districts <br /> <br />of the County of Orange. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee LeGaye, seconded by Penn and carried <br />and on recommendation of the Building Inspector the City <br />Engineer was authorized to repair the bracings and floor <br />of the band stand in Birch Park. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Warner, seconded by Penn and carried <br />the application of Clarence H. Kreps for permission~to <br />drive a taxicab for the Broadway Cab Company, was granted <br />on recommendation of the Taxicab Commission. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee LeGaye, seconded by Warner and <br />carried, Trustee A. C. Hasenjaeger was granted permission <br />to leave the State fc~ a period of thirty days. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee LeGay~, seconded by Warner and car- <br />ried, a personnel record of each city employee was ordered <br />filled out and turned over to the City Auditor. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee LeGaye, seconded by Warner end car- <br />ried, the City Attorney wac. instructed to prepare a reso- <br />lution to be presented to the Board of Supervisors calling <br />their attention to the section of the PolitiCal Code with <br /> <br />reference <br />in Orange <br /> <br />to the population of the Supervisorial Districts <br />County. <br /> <br />An Ordinance entitled: <br /> <br /> "An Ordinance for safeguarding life and property by <br />prohibiting the sale at retail, the disposal of by gift <br />or as premiums, and the loaning or renting out for use, <br />of certain electrical materials, devices, appliances and <br />equipment unless approved for retail sale, installation <br />and use; providimg for the approval of such electrical <br />materials, devices, appliances end equipment if the same <br />are found to be in conformity with the law and with <br />approved methods of construction for safety to life and <br />property; providing that the makerts name, trade-mark, <br />or other identification symbol shall be placed thereon, <br />togethe~ with appropriate ratings, necessary to determine <br />the use for which intended, and that same shall not be <br />removed, altered, changed or defaced; providing penalties <br />for the violation of this ordinance and repealing all <br />ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict with the <br />provisions of this ordinance." <br /> <br />was introduced, read, considered and referred back to the <br />city Attorney. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee LeGaye, seconded by Warner and car- <br /> <br />tied, the following Resolution No, 2387 was adopted: <br /> <br /> "That ~lhereas, the City of Sant$ Ana embraces the entir~ <br />First Supervisorial District of Orange County, California <br />and <br /> Whereas, the remaining four Supervisorial Districts of <br />Orange County, excepting the Third District thereof, are <br />out of line, so far as population is concerned; and <br /> Whereas, the City Council of the City of Santa Aha <br />respectfully calls to the attention of the Board of Super~ <br />visors, Section 4029 of the Political Code of the State <br /> <br /> <br />
