Witmer relative to Los Angeles <br /> Motorcycle Police acting as escorts to the Mid-Summer <br /> Motor Pageant to be held June 27th, was received a nd filed <br /> <br /> On motio~ Of Trustee Penn, seconded by Warner and carried, <br /> the communication from Robert E. Girvin, Publicity Direc- <br /> tor of the Headquarter of Hiram W. Johnson for United <br /> States Senator Clubs, acknowledging communication from <br /> Paul B. Witmer relative to Senator Johnson's aid in secur- <br /> ing Federal assiS~ance for California PUblic Work Projects <br /> was received and filed. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee LeGaye, seconded by Warner and car- <br /> ried, the communication of Vermond Knauss,offering to <br /> donate a $25,000.00 three-manual Wurlitzer to the ~lty <br /> with a suitable municipal auditorium if the City engages <br /> Mr. Knauss as organist with a reasonabl.e salary, was <br /> referred to Har~y L. Hanson, Manager of the Santa Aha <br /> Municipal Band. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Warner and carrie d <br />the communication from the ChamBer of Commerce of Hunting. <br />ton Beach requesting the Council to allow the Santa Aha <br />~Municipal Band to participate in the Fiesta De La Plata <br />celebration July 4th at Huntington Beach, was referred t o <br />Harry L. Hood for permission to erect a <br /> service station at 1002 S. Main Street, was referred to <br /> <br />the Planning Commission for recommendation. <br /> <br /> <br />
