Meeting called to order by Mayor Warner. Present: Trustees A. F. LeGaye, Fred C. Rowland, W. H. Penn, Plummet W. Bruns, E. G. Warner. Absmt: Trustees None. In Re Application F. R. Harwood. In Re Application George Creel Committee. In Re Application Gospel Mission. I~Re Application Special Police Officer. In Re Application J.T. Nichols, Pension Plan. On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Rowland and car- ried, the application of F. R. Harwood, Chairman for the James L. Davis for Congress Campaign Committee requesting permission to use Birch Park following the band concert, Thursday evening,August 23rd, was granted~ for the put of a political speech. On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Rowland and car- ried, the appl~c ation of the George Creel for Governor Committee, for the use of Birch Park following the band concert, Thursday evening, August 16th, for the purpose of a political speech, was granted. On motion of Trustee Rowland, seconded by Penn and car- ried, the application of Chas. L. Coleman, Pastor of the Gospel Mission, 314 E. Fourth Street, for permission to move his Mission to a tent to be erected on vacant proper- ty in the middle of the block on the south side of Edinge~ Street at South Main Street, was granted. On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Penn and carr~ d, H. the application of Lyman/Sargent for appointment as spec- ial police officer while employed as night sweeper opera- tor for the City of Santa Ana, was granted.
