Rpw!and, W.H. Penn, <br /> Plummet W. B~uns, E.G. Warner. <br /> <br /> Absent: Trustees None. <br /> <br /> Minutes of meetings of January 21st and 28th <br /> were approved as read. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Appointment <br /> <br />0.A. Haley, <br /> <br />Trustee. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Communication <br /> <br />Keith Hoffmaster. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Electric Sign. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Petition of <br /> <br />Photographers. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Monthly Reports. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Monthly Warrants. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Widening of <br /> <br /> Grand Avenue. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded-by Rowland and carried, <br /> M~. 0. A. Haley was appointed a Trustee~qf the City of Santa <br /> Ana to represent the First Ward to fill the vacancy made by <br /> the resignation of A. F. LeGaye. <br /> <br /> Mayor Warner appointed Trustee Haley as the Commissioner of <br /> the Water and Sewer Department. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Rowland and carried. <br /> the communication of Keith Hoffmaster suggesting a project <br /> fox. the maintenance of curbs and uniform tree planting as <br /> a permanent or semi-permanent project, was received and fil <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Rowland, seconded by Bruns and carried, <br />the application of the MacFarlane Electric for a permit to <br />hang an electric sign for the Byrne Motor Company at 902 N. <br />Main Street, was granted under~ supervision of the Electrical <br />Inspector. <br /> <br />A petition was read signed by fourteen photographers pro- <br />testing against the recent ordinance adopted by the City <br />CoUncil providing for the payment of city license yearly in <br />advance. On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Penn and <br />carried, the petition of photographers of the City was re- <br />ferred to a committee to include the City Attorney. Trustee <br />Penn and Rowland and the City Attorney were appointed as the <br />committee to investigate and report back in two weeks. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Penn and carried, <br /> <br />the monthly reports of City Officers for the month of <br />January, were referred to the Finance Committee. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Rowland and carried, <br />the Clerk was instructed to draw warrants according to <br />demands audited by the Finance Committee. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Rowland and carried, <br />the letter of S. V. Cortelyou, District Engineer of the <br /> <br /> <br />
