Main Street for the period <br /> March llth to 31st, was referred to the Attorney and Street <br /> Superintendent to report back at the next meeting. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Rowland and carried, <br /> the application of Shipkey & Pearson for a permit to con- <br /> struct a service station on the southwest corner of Broadway <br /> and Tenth Streets, was referred to the Planning Commission. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Penn and carried, <br /> the application of Frank Lansdown for permission to erect a <br /> low cost dwelling for temporary exhibition purposes, at a <br /> central location in the City, to be given away and moved <br /> whenever requested by the Council, was referred to the <br /> Building Inspector, Fire Chief and Attorney. <br /> <br /> # <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Bruns and carried, <br /> the warrant of the Southern Counties Gas Company in amount <br /> of $3576.88 covering franchise tax for year ending December <br /> 31st, 1934, was received and the Clerk instructed to deposit <br /> <br /> same · <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Rowland and carried, <br />the application of the MacFarlane Electric for a permit to <br />hang an electric sign for the Ye Town Pump at 314 W. Fourth <br />Street, was granted under supervision of the Electrical <br />IRspector. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Rowland and carried, <br />the report of the Health Department for the months of <br />October, November and December, 1934, was referred to the <br />Finance Committee. <br /> <br />A protest was presented signed by property owners and resi- <br />dents against the changing of name of that portion of <br />Cubbon Street lying East of Main Street, to Beverly Place. <br />On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Rowland and carried <br />the protest was referred to the City Attorney and Engineer, <br />who were appointed to investigate the petition favoring the <br />changing of name from Cubbon Street to Beverly Place. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Bruns and carried, <br />the resignation of Jess R. Buckles, Captain of the Police <br />Department, was accepted as of March 1st, 1935, to permit <br /> <br /> <br />
