Stephenson, Postmaster, was read <br />suggesting that the following streets travelled by rural <br />carrier in Gloryetta, should be improved: Central Avenue <br />from Main to Evergreen, Adams Street from Emmett to Cypress <br />100 block and §00 block on Flora Street and the 500 block <br />~M~nett Street. On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by <br />Rowland and carried, the communication of T.E. Stephenson, <br />was referred to the City Engineer for investigation. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Penn and carried, <br />the application of Gilbert-Weston-Stearns Inc. to hang an <br />electric sign for Haupert's Service Station at 401 E. First <br />Street, was granted under supervision of the Electrical <br /> <br />Inspector. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Bruns, <br />the application of Harry S. <br /> <br />seconded by Penn and carried, <br /> <br />Pickard, Chairman Citizens Com- <br /> <br />mittee of the D.A.V. of the World War, requesting permission <br />to sell tickets to the Annual Military Ball to be held <br />February 22nd under their auspices, was granted. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Bruns,seconded by Penn and carried, <br /> <br />the communication of members of the Realty Board appraising <br /> <br />property of Joseph and Ruth McElroy, was ordered read and <br /> <br />made a part of the minutes. <br /> <br />Santa Ana, California <br />January 21, 1935. <br /> <br />Mr. J. McBride <br />'Santa Ana City Engineer <br />Santa Ana, California. <br /> <br />Dear Sir: <br /> <br /> The undersigned licensed brokers, residents of the <br />City of Santa Ana, California, do hereby state that we have <br />this 21st day of January, 1935, carefully appraised Lot One <br />(1) of Tract No. 705, consisting of about 5 acres. The <br />corners and lines were carefully ascertained. The number of <br />building lots with street frontage, and which require no <br />filling in, were carefully noted, and <br /> ..After considering all the proper elements of evalu- <br />ation, it is our opinion that a reasonable present day value <br />of said property is $2500.00. <br /> <br />Respectfully signed, <br /> <br />(Signed) Earl B.
