E. Price for a license to conduct <br />the business of demonstrating and selling cosmetics at her <br />home, 2328 N. Broadway, was referred to the Planning Commis- <br />sion. On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Bruns and car- <br />ried, the recommendation of the Planning Commission, that the <br />present zoning does not permit issuance of a business license <br />in said district, was accepted and the application of Mrs. <br /> <br />E. E. Price to sell cosmetics at 2328 N. Broadway, was denied <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Smith and carried, <br /> <br />the report of the County Health Department for the months <br />January, February and March, 1938, was referred to the <br /> <br />Finance Committee. <br /> <br />of <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Smith and carried, <br />the application of Mike Lynch, meter man of the City of <br />Santa Aha, for appoiu~msnt as a special police officer without <br />pay, was referred to the Police Commissioner and the Chief <br />of Police for recommendation. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Penn and carried, <br />the applications of the MacFarlane Electric to hang electric <br />signs at the following places of business were granted under <br />supervision of the Electrical Inspector: <br /> <br />Geo. C. Popoff <br />Carl Zirinsky <br />0. E. Dawson <br />Delwin Melstrom <br /> <br />323 W. Fourth St. <br />ll6 N. Main St. <br />103 N. Main St. <br />927 S. Main St. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Lay~on and carried, <br />the application of Hazel Bunze for a permit to erect a ser- <br />vice station at the northeast corner of First and ~¥right <br />Streets, was referred to the ~lanning Connnission. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Penn and carried, <br />the recommendation of the Planning Co~mnission was accepted <br />and the property at the northeast corner of First and Wright <br />Streets was ordered posted for special uses and the Joint <br />hearing date set May 6th, 1935, in accordance with the appli- <br />cation of Hazel Bunze. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Brans and carried, <br />the following bonds of elective officers were referred to <br />the Chair for approwal: <br /> <br /> Edward Lafayette Vegely $1000'00 <br /> John G. Mitchell 1000.00 <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Smith and carried, <br />and on recon~endation of the Chief of Police, A. L. Stewart, <br />Joe Murillo and Cl~xte D.
