Markel. <br /> <br /> as police officers <br /> their resignations/as of May 1st, 1935, with an allowance of <br /> <br /> two weeks pay. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Smith and carried, <br /> the recommendation of the Chief of Police was approved and <br /> Chester S. Gross, Bern Moreland and Leonard S. Snodgrass <br /> were appointed police officers of the City of Santa Ana. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Penn and carried, <br /> the resignations of the following members of the Forestry <br /> Board were held in abeyance: Asa Hoffman, A. H. Allen, <br /> J. Russell Bruff and 0. L. Halsell. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Smith and carried, <br /> the report of the Forestry Board of its activities for the <br /> period of February 23rd, 1932, to the present time, was <br /> received and filed. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Smith and carried, <br /> the report of J. L. McBride, City Engineer, showing in detail <br /> the progress made on all S.E.R.A. projects sponsored by the <br /> City of Santa Aha to date, April 18th, 1935, was referred <br /> to the Finsnce Committee. <br /> <br />'On motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Brans and carried, <br />the Clerk was instructed to send a night letter to Charles W. <br />Fisher, Chairman of the Fish and Game Committee, expressing <br />the Council's approval of Assembly Bill No. 2417 for the <br />creation of a Fishing Reserve along the Coast of Orange Count <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Smith and carried, <br />the following heads of departments and officers of the City <br />of Santa Ana were reappointed at the same compensation now <br />being paid to them: <br /> <br /> John Luxembourger---Fire Chief. <br /> Lloyd H. Banks---City A~ditor and Purchasing Agent. <br /> J. L. McBride---City Engineer, Street and Water Supt. <br /> S. I. Preble---Building Inspector. <br /> V¢. 0. Packard---Electrical Inspector. <br /> H. 0. Crowe---Plumbing Inspector. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee B~uns, seconded by Penn and carried, <br />the application of Jules ~J. Markel to move the house located <br />at the northwest corner of 1Vth and Main Street and place it <br />on a new foundation at the southwest corner of the same lot, <br />was referred to the Planning Comraission. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Bruns and carried, <br />the Building Inspector was Au.thorized to issue a permit, if <br />necessary, for the moving and relocation of the house at the <br />corner of 17th and Main Streets. <br /> <br /> <br />
