Howard, Adjutant Gen$~al, with <br />reference to the granting of funds under the Work Relief Bill <br />for an &~mory building for the National Guard in Santa Ana, <br />was received and filed. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Layton, seconded t~y Penn and carried, <br />the request of D. K. H~_mmond, President of the Santa Aha City <br />Schools, for use of Birch Park for Junior College ( <br />Exercises, Thttrsday afternoon, June 13th, from 4:00 to 6:00 <br />P.M., and to have the surrounding streets roped off for the <br />elimination of traffic, was granted and the city departments <br />to cooperate with the request. <br /> <br /># <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Penn and carried, the <br />application of the tush Decorating Company was denied, for <br />permission to hang two banners advertising the opening of <br />Wiegand's Grocery, on Sycamore Street between First and <br />Streets and on Second Street between Sycamore and Broadway. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Layton and carried, <br />the application of A. W. Martin for permission to conduct a <br />Revival Tent Meeting at 1~15 Orange Avenue for approximately <br />three weeks beginning Thursday, May 30th, was referred to the <br />Police Commissioner for investigation. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Layton, seconded by Smith and carried, <br />the matter with reference to the upkeep of the Forest Home <br />~unicipal Camp Grounds is to remain in the present status <br />without appropriations from the City of Santa Aha. <br /> <br /># <br /> <br />The Chair granted theCity Attorney more time to investigate <br />the advisability of adopting an Ordinance to prohibit the use <br />of loud speakers and public address systems on Buildin~ front~ <br />sidewalks and streets. <br /> <br /># <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Layton, seconded by Bruns and carried, <br />the Board of Education was granted permission to use the City <br />Bowl for summer playground purposes to the rental value of <br />$250.00, the Bowl to be under the supervision of the Board <br /> <br /> <br />
