RESOLUTION NO. 53-159 PROPOS~G TO A~EX TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF SA~NTA ANA, DESCRIBING SAID TERRITORY., GIVING NOTICE OF THE Tilde A1TD PLACE OF PUBLIC ~I~iG ?HERE ALL PROTE~TS WiLL BE ~LEARD AI~D PASSED UPON, Ai~D DESIGNATING ThLE i%IA~y~ OF "REVISED bEST iS{ACT A~D SANTA ANA ACRES" AS AN APPROPRIATE NA~E FOR SAID TERRITORY ~EREAS, the owners of certain real property hereinbelow de- scribed have filed a petition wit~ the 01erk of the Council, request- ing that the City of Santa ~na, California annex said real property, stating that said real property is uninhabited, consenting in writing that said real property may be ta~ed to pay any indebtedness or li- ability of said City contracted prior to such annexation; and i~tEREAS, the Boundar~ Commission of Orange County, California has approved the description of said real property for the purpose of annexation; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the City of Santa ~na ~ereby declares its intention to annex all that cer- tain territory under the provisions of the ~nnexation of Uninnabi~ed Territory Act of 1939 and finds and hereby declares t~at said terri- tory is deemed uninhabited since it had less than 12 registered voters residing in it on November 16, 1953, the date when said petition was filed, and finds that said territory is contiguous to the City of Santa %nm, California, lies in the County of Orange, and is described as.- The area proposed for annexation to the City of Santa ~na consists of all the real property now known as Lot i and Lot K of Revised West Tract, recorded in Book l, page 13 of ~iscella- neous Record ~aps, ~ecords of Orange County; also Lots 45, $6, ~7, ~8, 61, 62, 63 and 77 of Santa Zna Acres, recorded in Book 5 page $ of ~iscellaneous ~aps, Orange County; and portions of the adjoining rights of way ~nown as Edinger Street, Dristol btreet and Fairview Avenue; situated wholly within the County of Orange, State of California and the 0oundary thereof is de- scribed as follows: Beginning at an angle point in the ~esterly City Limits of the City of Santa Ann at the intersection of the center lines of Bristol Street and Wilshire Avenue, said point also being the Northeast corner of Section 23, Township 5 South, Range l0 West, San Bernardino Base and Meridian as shown on a map of Tract No. 157~ recorded in Book &7 page 18 of ~iscellaneous Maps, Records of said County; running thence Westerly along the. C~t~.Limits.gf the Cit~ of Santa Ann N 89° 55' 50" W 1320.00 feed roi±owing ~ne North l~ne of said Tract No. 157& to the Northwest corner thereof, said point also being an angle point in the City Limits of the City of Santa Ann; thence following the City Limits of the City
