RESOLUTION NO. 54-26 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA mA <br />DETERMINING AND DECLARING, THAT WEEDS ~%~ICH BEAR SEEDS OF <br />A WINGY OR DOWNY NATURE AND ATTAIN ~ CH A LARGE GROWTH <br />AS TO BECOME A FIRE MENACE MEN DRY, AND WHICH ARE NOXIOUS <br />AND DANGEROUS, ARE GROWING UPON CERTAIN STREETS, SIDEWALKS, <br />AND PRIVATE PROPERTY IN SAID CITY OF SANTA ~A, AND ARE <br />A PUBLIC NUISANCE: DIRECTING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC VORKS <br />TO POST NOTICES TO DESTROY SAID WEEDS AS REQbIRED BY LAW: <br />FIXING THE TIME FOR HEARING OBJECTIONS AND PROTESTS, AND <br />DIRECTING THE ABATEMENT THEREOF IN ACCORDANCE WITH CHAPTER <br />13, PART 2, DIVISION 3, TITLE 4 OF THE G0,VERNNENT CODE OF <br />THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA. <br /> <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />SECTI.0N 1: <br /> <br />Division 3, <br /> <br />THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES RESOLVE AS <br /> <br /> Pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 13, Part <br /> <br />Title 4 of the Goverr~ment Code of the State of Call- <br /> <br />fornia, the City Council of the City of Santa Aha hereby <br />determines and declares that weeds which when mature bear wingy <br />or downy seeds, ~hich will attain such a large growth as to <br />become a fire menace when dry or which are otherwise noxious <br />and dangerous, are growing upon certain streets, sidewalks and <br />private property in said City, and are hereby declared to be a <br />oublic nuisance, and that the names of such streets as they are <br />commonly known are hereinafter set forth and the property front- <br />ing uoon such streets or sidewalks, or in front of which such <br />nuisance exists are hereinafter oarticularly described by lot <br />and block numbers according to the official assessment map; <br /> <br /> <br />
