Santa Ana City Hall. February 17th, 19~. 7:30 P.M. City Council met in regular session. Meeting called to order by Mayor Rowland. Present: Trustees Joseph P. Smith, Plummet W. Bruns, W. H. Penn, Ernest H. Layton, Fred O. Rowland. Absent: Trustees None. Minutes of meeting of February 3rd were approved as read. # In Re Communication Or. Co.Home In Re Meeting--Orange County Coast Assn. In Re Communication W.C.T.U. of Santa Ana. In Re Request of American Legion. In Re Application Arthur Gomez. On motion of Trustee Layton, seconded by Penn and carried, the communication of the Orange County Home Owned Business Owned Business Assn. Association expressing their thanks for the use of the Coun- cil Chamber on the night of January 24th, was received and filed. # On motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Bruns and carried, the invitation 0f the Orange County Coast Association to attend the meeting to be held at the White House Cafe, Laguna Beach at 6:30 P.M., February 18th, was received and filed and Clerk to be notified as to the~ number who will attend the meeting. On motion of T~mstee Bruns, seconded by Layton and carried, the communication of the W.C~.T.U. of Santa Ana commending the Council for the stand taken to control drunken driving in the City, was received and filed. . On motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Layton and carried, the request of W. Hunter Leach, General Chairman Armistice Day Committee, requesting the sole use of the streets of Santa Ana for parade purposes from ll P.M., November 10th to November llth, 1936, at'midnight, and also the sole control of all street concessions, on behalf of Santa Ana Post American Legion, was referred to the Police Commissioner and Chief with power to act. . On motion of Trustee Layton, seconded by Bruns and carried, the application of Arthur Gomez for permission to conduct the business of repairing gas stoves and washing machines in his private garage at 1326 Logan Street, was referred to the Planning Commission. On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Layton and carried, the application of Arthur Gomez was held over for one week to allow the Planning Commission to ,investigate the applica- tion and report back. # On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Bruns and carried, the warrant in amount of $4119.79 from the Southern Counties In Re Warrant--Southern Counties Gas Co.
