Eckles. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Reso. ~. <br /> <br />Reaffirming Belief in <br /> <br />Herits of the To~vnsend <br /> <br />01d Age Revolving Pension Plan. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Bruns and carried, <br />the recommendation of the Planning Commission that a survey <br />be made of broken sidewalks, high step-ups or step-downs of <br />curbs at intersections, dangerous open end culvertS, etc., <br />and that the necessarY repairs or reconstruction be ordered <br />made, was referred to the Street Commissioner and Engineer. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Bruns and carried, <br />the construction of a bandstand, comfort station and child's <br />wading pool as recommended by the Planning Commission, was <br />referred to the Forestry Board. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Smith and carried, <br />the recommendation of the Planning Commission that all metal <br />light standards and fire hydrants be painted with aluminum <br />paint; fire hydrants to have red caps, was referred to the <br />Street and Fire Commissioners and the City Engineer. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Bruns and carried, <br />the recommendation of the Planning Commission that the provi- <br />sions in the Building Code, governing the height above side- <br />walk grade of overhanging awnings, be rigidly enforced, WaS <br />referred to the Building Inspector to investigate and report <br />back at the next meeting. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Layton end carried, <br />the Chair was authorized to appoint a committee to work with <br />a committee from the Planning Commission as to the fe~ <br />and practicability of extending West Fourth Street from <br />Artesia Street along side the Pacific Electric right-of-way <br />to an intersection with West Fifth Street, as recommended by <br />the Planning Commission. Trustees Penn and Layton were <br />appointed as the committee. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Penn and carried, <br /> <br />Dr. Jas. Farrage was appointed a special police officer of <br /> <br />the City of Santa Aaa to serve without pay. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Layton and carried, <br />the request of C. H. Eckles to change the bus route on the <br />North Ross Street line, was granted on recommendation of the <br />committee appointed to investigate. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Layton and carried, <br /> <br />a Resolution was introduced resolving that the City Council <br />of the City of Santa Aaa reaffirms its belief in the merits <br />of the Townsend 01d Age Revolving Pension Plan, as an economi <br />measure and declares its continued and unshaken faith in the <br /> <br /> <br />
